That's what happened today when I checked on all of the animals after a severe rain storm and discovered a bunch of baby redfoot tortoises had hatched in the ground! And don't get me wrong, I'd be excited too! How cool is that? Just walking around after a rain and you find a baby tortoise. Can't beat it!

Hi Kenan Your excitement effected me to. Wow what a nice surprise. They are so cute. I never saw one with an egg sack still attached. In the incubator for that little one. Bobby looks good. He liked the scratch, but gave you a little noise, and a whipped tail. I bet Sophie, and Kate will be excited to. I am glad that all of the tortoise's were ok with all of that water. It looked like Darwin found a nice mud puddle to sit in. 🦎🐍🐢❤️Cindy

Something about Kenan freaking out when he finds the turtle in the hole and then excitedly displaying all four of the babies together like a kid on an easter egg hunt is SO funny to me

I so understand your excitement. I found 2 Redfoot babies 2 years ago in my yard when I was about to clean up some twigs on the ground. It's like Easter, birthday and Christmas all in one day....lol

I have wanted a sulcata for so long but living in GA, Im not versed enough in tort care for my climate. So I love this channel so much because he helps my research and education on torts more and more and gives me my fix of tort cuteness and care ❤️😊

This was so exciting to watch. I can imagine how cool it is to find baby tortoises/turtles walking your own property!! This made my Friday perfect and was a great start to the weekend. I get Greek Golden Tortoises in my yard all the time. I have to grab them quick before the neighbor's kids come over and steal them. They'll play with them and torture them all day if I don't get them to safety. I move them out of the city limits to a place where they won't be bothered, and they can have lots of natural habitat.

@@loriw2661 I've been rescuing kittens and puppies for as long as I can remember. My mom says that I get it from my dad, who is a huge animal lover, and a sucker for a furry face. Honestly, I wish I could keep them all, but I have to think about what is in the animals/reptile's best interests.

Ok kennon. U have convinced i need a couple of cherry heads. I have secondary homes if something were to happen to me and third homes. I just love their personalities. I love that they eat grass. And even tho it does get cold. I would make sure all their needs are met. I already have extesnsive reptile experience with snakes and iguanas and turtle babies. We find sleders and tortoise here in oklahoma. But i truly need a baby tort or 2.
