Admittedly, I am not a listener of country music-I listen mostly to heavy metal. Neither am I from the South nor the Heartland where a lot of these ideals and lyrics are so closely-held-I'm from suburban New York. So obviously, I can't relate to a lot of the things in this song. But I am an Infantryman in the Army, and I heard one of my buddies playing this song. I found this video afterwards, and the lyric, "I wish everybody overseas was gonna make it home," followed by the crowd's raucous cheering nearly instantly made me tear up. I'm not deployed currently (yet) but I may be soon, and just knowing how much country artists and fans appreciate the servicemen and servicewomen humbles me in ways I can't really articulate. I just thought I'd come by and say thanks to Riley and all his fans for their love and support, God bless you all ✌️❤️🇺🇸

This 51 year old man misses him more than that 10 year old little boy could ever imagine. My only goal in life was to be just half the man he was. My Grandpea Served in the army , He was so special to everyone around him he would smile tell you God Bless anyone whose served this great country . He passed away when I was 14 his last words to me was I love you like your my son and always keep the faith . I miss you grandpea ! :’(
