Maybe I didn't love you
Quite as often as I could have
And maybe I didn't treat you
Quite as good as I should have
If I made you feel second best
Girl I'm sorry I was blind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
And maybe I didn't hold you
All those lonely, lonely times
I guess I never told you
I'm so happy that you're mine
Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time
But you were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
Tell me
Tell me that your sweet love hasn't died
And give me
Give me one more chance
To keep you satisfied
I'll keep you satisfied
[Instrumental Interlude]
Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time
But you were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind - เพลง
No offense to any of the artists who Chris has covered and obviously this is a personal opinion. But every time I remember a song and then I hear Chris cover it, it's like oh yeah that's what it's supposed to sound like. He sings to the anthem of the artist and never tries out doing them even though he completely could it's so respectful and so awesome to watch him sing. Once in a lifetime voice and artist.
I agree, he's already a legend.
Can't argue with that at all
Willie Nelson did this song
I’m a fan of Chris , but he’s no Willie Nelson
He’s also no elvis.
One of the first dances I had with my first girlfriend Lisa in 1984 with Willie Nelson singing it, she was 17 and I was 18.. but Chris does an amazing job and it still brings a tear to my eye, only because I had no idea my girlfriend would end up pregnant a year later with our baby girl that she ended up giving to adoption after I already left.. Her grandmother who adopted Lisa wanted her to have an abortion I found out later on... I never knew any of this because we had a fall out in 1985 and I ended up moving away 4000 miles and cut off all communication with her. Today my daughter and I are in communication and she is beautiful and I have been blessed with 7 grandchildren... We found each other on facebook 3 years ago... I know... It's stuff only movies are made of... I was a pride driven egotistic delinquent at that age because I didn't know any better and that took a tolle on Lisa eventually and our relationship.. She was seeing someone else in 1985 behind my back and I never forgave her for it, but it wasn't her fault because I decided to hang out with no good friends and ignored her 98% of the time. I left to come out west with one of these friends who I haven't seen now for almost 40 years... I love this song because it always takes me back to that innocent moment we both held on to each other and danced to it... It wasn't easy after I left because I went on a drunken stupor and took drugs for 20 years because I was extremely depressed and suicidal 3 times in those days... I have been sober now for 19 years and extremely happy and healthy. Lisa and I haven't seen each other for 40 years.
Nobody cares
I care. Thanks for Sharing. It’s crazy the things we do when we are in our younger years and as we get in our 50’s and beyond we have so much perspective.
Thanks for sharing. Do you ever see Lisa?
Such a sad story but you are on the right path now. “One Day At A Time” Peace ‘n’ Harmony to you! ☮️✌️
It’s amazing the power a song has, that it can take us back to a specific moment in time. Thanks for sharing. Glad you reconnected with your daughter and now grandkids. Make tomorrow so awesome that yesterday gets jealous! God bless!
He's doing it so effortlessly. Chris can sing absolutely everything
I agree. He is fantastic. ❤❤
More amazing is that for a long time as a performer, he didn’t think he could sing. Same with Stevie Ray Vaughan (SRV). It took Chris’ wife and Stevie’s female vocalist to persuade them to sing. And we win. 😊
he aint no rap god
@@rustyshackleford7282 Chris: "Hold my cowboy hat"
I WANT effort.
I'm 59 and I have loved this song since the first time I heard it, and Chris does it all the justice it deserves. This man is a national treasure to country music.
A treasure to music, period. He is too good to limit it to country.
@@dgoodall I agree.
Amen I too am impressed im almost 57
i'm 56 and i feel the same.
too slow and boring
Everything about this is a feast for the senses. Chris' voice, the song, the Steinway piano, the pianists' fedora, the subtle guitar solo, the stage layout, color....
The backup singers as well.
Anything else a "feast for the senses"?
Yep. Live music is best music.
You said what I wanted to say
And Mickey Raphael, #1 Harmonica Player! 😃
I don't know how it's even possible, but country music can make me kinda nostalgic for a world I've never been and never seen. It calms down and gives a feeling of infinity of time as if our life is not so short at all. It gives me meaning and desire to keep living through this difficult time
Amen brother
Thank you for shinning a light on my feelings.
Chris Stapleton is a modern day Elvis Presley. There doesn't seem to be a song he doesn't make his own.
Chris knows when a song requires subtlety and he pulls this one off perfectly to honor Willie
The brother can simply bring it. Wonderful performance. A great tribute to Willie.
Elvis*
Elvis presley
@@bradhuskersYes, but first recorded by Brenda Lee and released by Mcrae (don't remember her first name). Elvis made the song in question really famous in 1972 and Willie Nelson in 1982. People still think it was written by him...🤔
@@rubengouda2585 it's literally Willie's birthday bash
@@bradhuskersI'm fairly certain Elvis wasn't there 😅
This was my song for my wife of 30 years. I was gone far too much, and she left us far too soon.
Chris played the restraint card perfectly, making me lean in and hang on every lyric. All-Star musicians right there too!
Elvis is still the standard for this song. And I love Chris S.
I gotta go with Willie over Elvis.
I always looked at this as two different songs. Willie country version and Elvis a pop song. My favorite Elvis song and my fav Willie song. This isn't a bad version by Chris
Elvis would be proud. 😢
I don't understand people who don't like Chris Stapleton.
This man blows me away Everytime I listen to him
You get so used to him breaking out those unbelievable runs…it’s nice to hear him reserved and just enjoy the tone and sweetness of his voice
Elvis would have loved this version
Long live THE KING 👑
It. Kh47 😂v😂was 63o3ogi 6m was hy😂😂
Brenda Lee is the original singer tho
Every song he sings he makes it his own. Incredible man!
I totally agree 😳 Absoutely Beautiful and I'm sure Willie appreciated Chris' version ❤
I agree totally.
Elvis's version is pure sublime
My husband bought this song but by Willie Nelson for me to hear. We had just remarried after being divorced for 34 years. This song rings true for me.
Damn. That is a love story.
He is phenomenal
When music truly captivates an audience❤ thats beautiful!
Hello, how is it going?
Favourite song of all time!
Nothing can beat Willie for me but this is a fantastic version!
Willie?
Elvis's version is pure sublime
Such a Willie classic. Chris Stapleton is the perfect performer to sing it, because his voice also so classic. Wonderful!
Elvis Sang it the best.
@heyyo1636 Elvis was good, but no one could sing it like the man that wrote it willing Nelson.
@davidryan1562 Willy himself would have told you that Elvis sang it better. Just like he did when he sang bridge over troubled water, you've lost that loving feeling and unchained melody.
@@heyyo1636 Just a difference of opinion, at least we agree. It's a great song 👍
@@davidryan1562 Absolutely 👍Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
omg that man is incredibly talented ... he nailed this song 🎵 ...
Elvis Presley is the only man to ever sing it better! ❤️🔥
I agree. you are right
Agree
I´d say Willie Nelsons version also is better then this. This one is ok though.
@@markinnis8404 Willie didn't write this song. He just had one of the best covers. It was written by Wayne Carson, Mark James, and Johnny Christopher in 1971.
@Swalker20659 thank you, I am mistaken. Willie has written so many great songs, I thought this was one of them. Not the first time I have been wrong, pretty sure it won't be the last!!🤣🤣
Well done Chris.
I'm a disabled Veteran. I have severe PTSD and through over a decade of mental health counseling, I am aware that I show very little emotion towards anything. Spending nearly four years in combat seeing, doing, being around, living the most horrible things humans are capable of, has shattered my emotional response to nearly everything. When I realize my wife of 16 years is lonely, upset, no happy, etc., I will play this song and give her a big hug and kiss and hold her. She's an amazing woman that has incredibly stuck by me all these years as I struggle to feel normal and fit in. Honestly I don't think many woman would have stayed with me and I am very lucky to have her in my life. She understands me and what I'm going through and somehow has the fortitude and love to keep making me happy. She also knows I love her and our two children more than life itself and this song help me express that to her.
A legendary song.
Chris and the band do an amazing job here. One of the best covers of this song I've ever heard. On that note, there is another cover that brings a lot of emotion to the song that my wife loves. It's by Connie Talbot. If you've never heard it, give it a listen. It's wonderful. Thanks to Elvis, Willie, Chris, Connie, and the many other musicians out there that keep this song alive and full of life. It means a lot to me.
Thank you sir, for your service and incredible sacrifice to keep us safe. I pray for emotional healing..you sir are a hero!
@@TheNewBowunter Thanks =] You're welcome for the service. Someone had to go, I raised my hand.
May GOD give you strength and peace and love ❤️
@@enidgonzalez6416 Thank you for the kind words. They mean a lot to me. They also remind me to remember all my buddies that didn't make it back, and all the service members that gave their life for our great Nation.
@@liberty9348 Ever hear the Serenity Prayer ? Helps calm my mind whenever I need it.
"Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I can not change.
Grant me the Courage to change the things I can.
And Grant me the Wisdom to know the difference."
Bless you for your service to this great country of ours.
I love this song, it reminds me of my late husband who passed away from a 5yr battle with cancer. He will always be on my mind.
So 😢 sorry. May you feel comfort and love today ❤
Thank you for sharing. I hope you are able to find comfort and inspiration in music.
Whenever I think it can’t get any better….
Elvis made this song famous so my mind always goes to his version. Chris is very good.
This man is "officially" my favourite singer of all times...THE VOICE !
Mine too!
He's good. But lacks the diversity of elvis.
Elvis's chameleon voice changed multiple times in his very short life.
Screaming 1950's. Rock n roll.
Late 60's soul.
Early 60's otherworldly tone and power. Smooth 70's sound. Country, gospel, rhythm and blues, rockabilly, rock n roll, etc........Elvis's soul, depth and diversity remain unmatched.
@@bradhuskers Why compare different artists with different voices ? I never understood this comparing-thing. Stapleton is out now since 2015 ( album TRAVELLER )...so wait what will come. As you wrote, Elvis was in the 50ies, 60ies and 70ies...give Stapleton the same time. Anyway, I am thankful for all those great artists we have, it is all a matter of taste.
@bradhuskers I love Elvis. In fact I would always say he was my all time favourite. He had it all. Nobody has excited me that way until Chris caught my attention. Elvis was before my time. Chris is of my time and I cannot wait to see him in concert this year. I love them both.
@@kelleyspartiatis4776 I love Chris Stapleton, no musical artist excited me that way for years. Unfortunately, he will not come to Germany, so all I got is YT-stuff and of course buying his records.
Elvis will always be the King of Rock And Roll. Willie will always be the best of the outlaw cowboy's. However nobody can ever top Chris!
Could not think of a better artist to sing this song in tribute to Willy.
Just unbelievable Chris has a voice of a lifetime nothing like it
This is a beautiful song. One of my favorites for me and my husband he died this year the love of my life I will miss him everyday we’ were childhood sweethearts married over 50 yrs. We danced in our kitchen to this. Chris Stapleton is from the next county over here in rural Ky he is the real deal.💔❤️
I'm so very sorry for your loss! One day you will see him again. Take care!
God Bless you. Very sorry for your loss.
My heartfelt condolences 🙏🏽
This guys voice has no limits✌️♥️😀
It's great for what it is. But his tone is a "one trick pony"
For a truly diverse voice, you have none other than elvis presley.
Way more diverse.
As talented as this guy is, he is still singing the song softly, as if he were speaking to his lover. Great rendition.
I am not even a country fan.............but this is so amazing. I am in tears, and not sure why. Love this guy!
Are you freakin kidding me? This is the best version of this song ever!!!!
I could listen to Chris sing all day
Didn’t think anyone would do this song better than Elvis but Chris is on par! 👏🏼
Love this song...GOD BLESS EVERYONE ¡¡¡☆☆☆❤❤❤
God bless you too!
Yeah I do too...
Chris never disappoints a voice like no other.
Love it
Anthem of love, divine performance !
Lord he can sing. I love his voice, amazing .
My mom is gone 5 years now but used to always tell my son “you are always on my mind” . To this day every time I hear this song, I feel she is near……
Always amazing ❤
Hey how are you doing today??
HOLY SMOKES!!!! Another *OUTSTANDING* performance from this awesome, talented man!!! He never fails to bring it on!!!
My favorite Willie Nelson song. Mr. Stapleton did his usual and sang it beautifully! ❤ Happy Birthday Willie! ❤❤
One of the best songs ever written... In my book!!!
Awesome version Of this classic Song ❣️🎵🎶🎵🎶❣️
Hey how are you doing today??
I think this man could read instructions on a light bulb and make it sound wonderful, love ya Chris 🫶✌️
Always loved Elvis doing this, but Chris found a new fan in me when he owned the national anthem last year. He used perfect restraint here. Such a great composer and singer.
Grew up listening to Wiilie but love Chris ,his voice, his music and the love he shows for his wife and family❤❤
My favorite Willie song. He nailed it
Elvis, Stapleton, Willie
This man is the real reason I am happy for him! He’s wife and children are grateful for his abilities in writing music but also he uses his voice in a brilliant way!
How are you? So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song
I like that they introduced him as one of the biggest music stars. Not just country.
@ChrisStapletony1y Hahaha I'm glad to hear. Would you like some of my money?
I would never, ever, let him sing a song of mine. Everything is better in his voice. Awesome
Such a great Version, he is the man 🫡

Incredible! I tuned in to Mr. Stapleton's songs on Spotify and immediately fell in love. There is still beautiful music in this world and great artists!
I hope some day I can get this song to my ex wife to let her know that I always loved her, I just didn't have sense enough to show it. I think of her everyday.
Bro, it's okay! Nothing wrong to think about her! And the good times... It ain't over till it's over.
Me to Brother 😔
Learn and progress. That's all we can do.
💔
Call her my Brotha! You never know til you do..
This is ear candy. Such a beautiful performance.
Even though the cameraman decides to show the keyboard player while you are over there killing it... we see you Uncle Larry!
Completely on pitch while standing so relaxed. Thats amazing. Being that much in tune usually takes alot of focus
For sure! Too bad the acoustic player couldn’t have tuned up beforehand though 🤦♂️
He’s amazing…effortless and incredibly delivered…wow! Just WOW!
My dad used to sing this one. Tears my heart out.
Love this song Allways on my mind Forever and Ever ❤❤❤
I really love this song. Probably one of the greatest songs ever written.
Hey how are you doing today??
Bottle of crown and Chris Stapleton just pair so well together ❤
Phenomenal
Love you Chris, you did a good job, but i am an Elvis Fan since i was six (now I am 43) I can't say anything against Elvis, he's the King, I love everything about him
Beautiful just beautiful... reminds me of Elvis Presleys version. My Mom loved Elvis so much.... this makes me think of her every time I hear it. Mama - you were always on mind. I miss you so much, say hi to Gary and Baba.
He makes any song that he sings sound amazing!! I love his voice and music!!! ❣️
Moved by a voice of an Angel…Straight to the ❤… pulling on every heartstring filled with tears…cause you were always on my mind…♥️
I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed Listening to anyone sing as much as I love listening to Chris. Such effortless talent. His voice reminds me so much of Willie Nelson. So unique and beautiful.
When I saw the title I immediately thought “oh hell yeah! He’s gonna sing the shit out of this.”
Even when you set an insanely high bar, this man delivers.
Great song and Elvis Presely's version is fantastic.
I love this song and used to sing it in my band years ago. I had 3 favourite renditions up till now. 1 Elvis. 2 Willie. & 3 my brother Joe( sadly gone to his Maker ). I now have a fourth with Chris.
Man i love his voice , his music. He is the best . The real.thing on country music. And i love this song😊
Glorious song. Stapleton nails it. And the added thrill of Benmont’s Tench on keyboard. This whole piece is a joy and a miracle. Happy birthday, Willie.
I thought that was Benmont ? Thanks for clarifying. Man I miss Tom Petty😢
Oh how lovely!!! I'm so glad he didn't change it up from Willie's version! Very very nice!!
He and his wife make every song sound so much better. Love Morgane and Chris Stapleton!
Hello Jane, how are you doing today
Chris Stapleton does an amazing rendition, but Elvis's version is my all time favorite...
Wow what a band 🤩🤩
You sing it great but I captured many hearts too. ❤
I love this song.. he took it❤ this song has been in my heart ❤️
Hello friend, how are you doing today
Mr. Stapleton, this is more proof you are the 8th wonder of the world. Everything about this performance from the audience, lights, and your voice move the masses. My God, you are magnificent to witness. The pride all who hears, sees you, and loves you is overwhelming. I am a true fan. Thank you.
So perfectly fabulous, TY!!! 🎉
This guy is amazing absolute amazing
I cried the first time I head Elvis sing this song and now again with Chris. Beautiful song 🎶
Touched my soul
Hello how are you doing today??
Bit addicted to this geeza ❤
No one can ever sing this song better than Elvis.
Love concert,love music 🙏🍀❤️🎼👌🎶🎵✌️🎸🎤🥁🎹 .Merry Christmas 🎄 🎁
So beautiful, Merry Christmas
I absolutely love Chris and his music. What a talent!!! With that said, some songs just can’t compare. Willie Nelson and Elvis Presley’s versions can’t be challenged.
Non-USA-ler, I only ever knew this song as being one of Elvis' staple songs..
Elvis' version is the ultimate cos he sings it a lot higher key. But this is still lovely. Well 👍
Just more proof he is one of the greats in country music. When you can just stand there and complete captivate an audience. Just like king George.
