I took it as " hey I'm not stereotypical, I'm not saying he was for sure smoking a Newport, he could've been smoking the other stero typical cigarette for a black man" but honestly that works too lol. I still never understood why the Newport steotype is associated with black people, most of the people i knew that smoked Newports were Hispanic
All of these stories are not only funny, but also just genuinely interesting and well told. I think that this combination is what makes these stand out from regular stand-up bits. They're wonderful!

I really like Sean Patton. I don't know why he comes across so purely funny in this opposed to his recorded stand-up.
His stand-up is good, but maybe the story has more structure.
I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this because at first I didn't know where it was going. I am glad I continued watching. This was a great tale.

Man, this guy. Places like New Orleans are cool. They're big concentrations of population in the South with actual culture. I can see this being a completely realistic situation because someone being openly accepted as homosexual would be as commonplace as a bigot offended by the very idea, especially around Mardi Gras. Very cool and interesting place.
