Script intro: Try to complain about everything.
Still, it requires a subscription and it isn't your games. Its still a fail imo. If you already have the sub and the portal however, that's awesome but if your on the go and no wifi its a brick.
Also with the sub they could remove someone's fav game that they play anywhere. At least on the ps5 you can buy it and still use in that same spot
I’ve just return mine .its a useless device I bought a steam deck instead and I’m so happy 😁!!
Sounds like you have WiFi issues. Not portal issues.
Also the switch didn’t come with Bluetooth day 1 either. It was programmed in YEARS later. No reason the portal won’t get it down the line. Though it is a cynical cash grab on Sonys part.
You seem like a contrarian for contrarians sake
They would have made nore money as a stand alone device
Media is turned off 😑🤦🏻♂️😏 i hope in the near future a update will unlock it
Well yeah you need a ps5 lol question is do you get it ? Clearly you keep comparing it so don’t think you get the product.
I would be interested at $50
Well this review didn't age well...
Bought one it is works great for its purpose but an acquired taste
While I want to get my hands on this I will say even the Logitech G Cloud seems better than this in every way except for the price (Logitech really overcharges for the G Cloud)
and as yourself said, price
And the fact that this has dual sense
Who is paying this guy to say this. Yes it has some cons but it has a lot of great things about it also and he didn't say one good thing.
Makes me wonder if this is a honest review.
Well I'm paying him with my old steam deck LCD because I have ordered the OLED edition. ;)
@@manuelkimpel3788I am worried about the Screen burn in. 😅
@@johnnydoe3603 Well let's see when it's gonna happen to my devices. My OLED TV and switch are still fine after 2 years of usage. :)
But that's a decent concern people should have.
A Duelsense controller is $75, how are you bitching over and over about the portal costing $125 more? You sound like you think it should $99 at launch straight into the bargain bin.
I can't believe that Sony take another turn into this exclusivity game.
They suffered a lot at some era for this game. And now they give it another go?
Geez, even Apple no longer launch a new product that so exclusive in terms of hardware.
Its not for everyone
sony please bring back something like the psp
this isn't it
Big L imo.
More proof that Sony diehards would buy a dog turd with the PS logo on it.
thing is being shilled as hell.
I have it, I love it
Pass for me
portal perumahan
Some TH-camrs tested this out vs remote play on phones and found the phone app is better than the Portal. Hard pass for me.
Str8 trash! Im taking it back!
You’re very negative try to be more informative and speak from the perspective of gamers the accessory is aimed for
He's so golden right. Even the father gamer with 200 kids in his home can use his phone or computer to access the remote play feature.
Those exclusive features of the DS5 controller are not required for a fun gameplay.
@@manuelkimpel3788 and the father gamer just want a dedicated portal that work. Simple as that
well is that the only perspective?
Finally someone with the cajones to release a review thats not bought and shilled like the other youtubers. Thank you for being honest about this device. I dont understand why folks are running out to get this device when you could already do all of this at a better capacity with the tablets and phones they already own.
I honestly think this is a test device.
These guys are incompetent. They don’t know the difference between WiFi local area network and the internet. How can you work for a tech website and not know this. I got my portal yesterday. Runs great . Great color and resolution. Runs a lot better than on my iPad Pro. If the portal was as bad as they say it is , than everyone would return it. 200$ is a bargain for how well it works. Hardwire your ps5 to your router.
CNET and IGN shilled this for sure
@@joeyboyjoeyboy2 nope sry to disappoint you. IGN was right just like with Loadfield. The portal is fantastic. Been on 4+ hours a day since I got it. Too bad it’s sold out.
Buy a steam
I have a switch and without talking about the 3rd party games the system is weak. I dont like playing the same mario game 100 times? I gave my switch to my son cause no person above the age of 13 should be a hardcore switch player. Now the portal is just a remote play device, yes i wont say that its not pricey cause it really is.. The fact of the matter is that i rather stream my own ps5 games away from my setup and connect it to my hotspot on the go rather than play anything nintendo has made. Switch 2 sure is gonna be new but already behind in terms of graphics and performance? You want to talk about a waste a money? Nintendo got you cover. And please, this is my own opinion. Dont attack me or call me names, my opinion matters as much as yours and belive me if you think am wrong and belive nintendo is amazing I disagree but respect your opinion to the fullest.
I was ready to rip u a new one, yeah it's ur opinion and others don't have to agree with it.
Its a very narrow minded one I say that.
@@Electro096 Well I belive all opinions matter and we should just play what we enjoy and love brotha.
The reviewer looks like the cashier at my local 7/11
Damn, the device really is useless.
Wait until the joystick drift kicks in after warranty like two of my PS5 controllers then it surely is a $199 waste of money
Q. How does the PS Portal work on PS5 when the PS5 is in rest mode and your game is on disc? There is no power activity to the drive in rest mode
@prouddog4533 the PS5 turns on whenever remote play is connected. The system does not stay in rest mode while streaming.
whack review
Mierda de Portal… gente ilusa. 😊
Just buy a $20 controller mount for your phone. What a garbage product.
At least my phone supports bluetooth 🤦🏻♂
ew... who want to waste the AAA games on your tiny broken hole/notch display with the weird aspect ratio, not to mention the corners are cutout too. EWww u can stand it but not everyone can
well said. one famous vlogger says that this is garbage, he tries to take this outside far away from his home and the screen drops to 480P quality and it lags. STHUPID PS PORTAL STHUPID SONY. Steam deck Oled way better. Sthupid sony very sthupid.
