Me personally, I am not a fan of the constant nod to ‘the old days’, retros, and overall basic and formulaic uniforms. Like both Lions and Jets are trying to pay homage to the retros, and add that basic stripe on the shoulder pads. I want uniforms that break the mold, like the banger H-town uniforms, creating new history. They could one day become the classics/retros to a new generation. But for every H-Town innovation, we get a Denver stinker. I think that’s why designers play it so safe with old school jerseys.
I see where you're coming from. To me though, the new version of the Jets and Lions are strict upgrades to their classic jerseys. They kind of have a retro feel, but keep the modern harsh lines and vibrant colors.
The Giants’ copy of the Michigan Wolverines’ helmet design is a tribute to the old leather helmet designs. They should have kept the jersey design simple, and kept the pants in a color that matches the jersey.
The Giants uniforms are historic and designed to commemorate the 100th season. They are based on the uniforms the Giants wore when they won the NFL Championship in 1934. Back then, they had the striped socks and tan coloured pants (look up 1934 Giants). The helmet has absolutely nothing to do with the Wolverines, but instead represents the helmet the Giants wore for most of the 1930s/1940s. Back then helmets were leather and many had three leather strips sewn on for reinforcement, and these strips were often a different colour leather to the rest of the helmet. So the Giants had red strips on a blue helmet and the Wolverines had yellow strips; the Bears had orange strips, which is why we saw a similar design for them a few years ago. I'm glad they're doing something that honours tradition. 👍
I know they were designed for historical accuracy, but that doesn't excuse them from looking awful in my opinion. I think there are 100 different ways to make a uniform that represents their 100th anniversary, and this was a miss for me.
I didn't include them since it just an alternate, but I do really like them. They would go in the Justin Herbert tier as well. The only reason I included the Giants alternates was because they were so unbelievably bad 😂
Like I said, the Giants alternates are horrific. I added them for the comedic value. If I added the Jaguars throwback unis, it would have just been 20 seconds of me saying "pretty good 👍" which I don't think adds anything to the video for the watcher.
Giants look good honestly. And for those saying the pants should be white, it’s a centennial uniform that is meant to look like the old ones. Changing the pants defeats the purpose of the uniforms.
You're definitely in the minority with that opinion 😂 But I get what you're saying. Personally, I think modernizing a classic design is the way to go. Copy and pasting the old design on current equipment isn't particularly creative or good-looking imo.
@@secondread And I don't hink the organizations do anything tht's not to make a profit. These are for-profit companies. We know the whole "color rush" idea was mainly to boost jersey revenues too.
I actually like the Commanders unis. I like the color scheme, and I like the military vibe they used. They got a lot of hate when they first got unveiled, but I'd say they're pretty good compared to a lot of other teams.
@@secondread That's because, they didn't match, and 2/3 of them (the white and black unis) were criticized, for looking like they belonged to other teams (Cardinals/Falcons and Steelers)
Said it before, and will say it again. The day Nike was contracted for the entire NFL was the beginning of the turd show. And damn if they haven't blown it all out. Oh well, next time there is a toilet paper shortage, there will be plenty of stuff to wipe with.
@@secondread You have your opinion and I have mine. Since you think I overreact? Fine. I think you are a complete asshole. And those uniforms you like can wipe you.
Broncos are definitely Andy Dalton tier for me 😂😂. The only positive i can point out about them is the amount of potential combinations they can wear, with the white jersy/ blue pants/ blue helmet combo looking the best they have to offer (besides their throwback). Outside of that, the sleeve design is 🐕 💩, the design on the helmet is 🐕 💩, the striping on the pants is 🐕💩..... they really fumbled the hell out of their redesign. These should go into the bin just like those digital clock Buccaneers unis 😂
It’s just another NFL money grab. Fans are going to spend their money no matter how awful the jerseys look. I’m happy with my vintage jersey because the NFL has proven time and time again how greedy they are.
Do you think I don't understand that the Giants jerseys are supposed to represent the jerseys they wore 100 years ago? That doesn't prevent them from looking awful.
When the bottom 3 tiers are all former Bears QBs. 😢
LMAO I didn't even think about that

I really like the HTown color rush jerseys.
I didn't love the blue outlines at first, but it has grown on me. As a jersey that they only wear once or twice a year, I like them a lot.
The Giants’ copy of the Michigan Wolverines’ helmet design is a tribute to the old leather helmet designs. They should have kept the jersey design simple, and kept the pants in a color that matches the jersey.
Yeah, I agree. The pants and socks absolutely killed any hope for these unis imo.
@@secondread well to be fair they can’t completely change the uniforms they wore 100 years ago, and they only play a couple games in them
And still looks like ass
As a cowboys fan I can respect the throwback uniforms
They’re going to wear them two games and never again.
Looks like a Montreal Canadian football jersey

How does this channel only have 150 subs??
You deserve way more dude. Love the videos.
Thank you very much! I'm still new to the game, but hopefully I'll continue to put out bangers like this.
Your Giants take was hilarious 😂 Definitely subscribing
Thank you very much!
4:38 I like your way of thinking! Poor Giants ☹️
Welcome to the Michigan style helmet. Bears fans are here to support you
Great content young fella
Thank you very much!
Nice tier list! Can’t wait for the Jaguars throwbacks!
I didn't include them since it just an alternate, but I do really like them. They would go in the Justin Herbert tier as well. The only reason I included the Giants alternates was because they were so unbelievably bad 😂
@@secondread 1. They haven’t released them.
2. You did the Giants new uni even tho that’s also just an alternate.
1. We already know what they'll look like. They're throwbacks.
2. That's literally what I said in my previous comment lol
@@secondread I don’t understand the logic tho. You include the Giants alternate but not the jags alternate.
Like I said, the Giants alternates are horrific. I added them for the comedic value. If I added the Jaguars throwback unis, it would have just been 20 seconds of me saying "pretty good 👍" which I don't think adds anything to the video for the watcher.
As a broncos fan, I'm glad the Giants' atrocious throwbacks took some of the attention off of our mid new uniforms

I guess jersey sales are down so teams will have to keep coming out with new designs more and more often to give them a temporary jolt...
Nah, I don't think that's it.
@@secondread And I don't hink the organizations do anything tht's not to make a profit. These are for-profit companies. We know the whole "color rush" idea was mainly to boost jersey revenues too.
Obviously it's to sell stuff. But jersey sales are definitely not down.
That giants uniform is Gyarados levels of Atrocious.
But I like Gyarados 😂
@secondread But it is known as the atrocious pokemon.
That makes more sense lmao
What's your thoughts on the Washington Commanders uniforms?
I actually like the Commanders unis. I like the color scheme, and I like the military vibe they used. They got a lot of hate when they first got unveiled, but I'd say they're pretty good compared to a lot of other teams.
@@secondread That's because, they didn't match, and 2/3 of them (the white and black unis) were criticized, for looking like they belonged to other teams (Cardinals/Falcons and Steelers)
Am I the only one who actually kinda likes the Giants throwbacks
You're not the only one, but you are certainly in the minority lol.
The giants unis are ass
The Giants alternates- why?…. lol.
The year is 2024. We should be clad in chrome and neon by now. You get excited by stripes? We need some Oregon or Arizona State craziness!
Lol I disagree, but I can understand why people want some flashier uniforms.
Said it before, and will say it again. The day Nike was contracted for the entire NFL was the beginning of the turd show. And damn if they haven't blown it all out. Oh well, next time there is a toilet paper shortage, there will be plenty of stuff to wipe with.
This is definitely an overreaction in my opinion 😂 most uniforms are good nowadays.
@@secondread You have your opinion and I have mine. Since you think I overreact? Fine. I think you are a complete asshole. And those uniforms you like can wipe you.
Giants Uniform are dope - very unique instead of drab modernism - only worn once or twice this year lol.
I disagree a LOT - but hey! That's why we're all allowed to have an opinion lol.
Bruh h town Texans be the best new Texans uniforms
I disagree, but I can understand why some people like them so much.
The Giants throw back uniforms look like the Montreal Canadians meet the Michigan Wolverines!😮😮
I love the Canadians go habs
The Giants should pay the Montreal Canadiens royalties for copyright infringement.Seriously! how could they not know.
You're not the first person I've seen say that! Interesting comparison.
well its not because the middle is bigger
As a giants fan, I am never watching American football again. Watching them lose is not worth the epilepsy attacks
Well luckily they'll only wear the alternates a couple times this year. I'll just avoid those games 😂
The giants uniforms are fire
I disagree lol

Tbh I think the H town Texans jersey is the best in the nfl
Valid imo
nah jets one goes hard
I put it in the "Justin Herbert" tier. Definitely a huge improvement.
Yeah they are probably my 3rd favorite jerseys in the league right now
Why does bro only have 147 subs???
I'm still brand new to the game! Subs will come. This is just a passion project. I appreciate the support 🙏
I… like the century red jersey
😐
You are definitely in the minority I think 😂 the jersey itself is fine. It's just the bottom half of the uniform that kills it for me.
It’s just another NFL money grab. Fans are going to spend their money no matter how awful the jerseys look. I’m happy with my vintage jersey because the NFL has proven time and time again how greedy they are.
I disagree personally. I think owners want their brand to actually look good more than anything else.
Where are the Dallas cowboys at
I didn't include alternates in this video (I only included the Giants because they are SO BAD). However, I am a big fan of their alternate jerseys.
I like the Giants one. I prefer vintage-styled uniforms more than the ones that try too hard to be hip and cool
I just think there are better ways to do classic throwbacks personally
Minus The brown pants. The Giants jersey looks good
I could maybe get behind it, outside of the socks.
The top tier should have been Tom Brady cause mahomes is overrated
1. Tom Brady is retired
2. No
Maybe you should learn some NFL history
Do you think I don't understand that the Giants jerseys are supposed to represent the jerseys they wore 100 years ago? That doesn't prevent them from looking awful.
This is trash
