- Vinny ranks the new NFL helmets and uniforms for 2024, one by one. Several NFL teams, from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Houston Texans, recently dropped their alternate helmets and uniform combos for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. While some shells and skins look very good, others turned out very, very bad! Tune in to see where each team falls on Vinny's list.

The reason the Giants and Wolverines have that wing and 3 stripes is because that's how the leather helmets looked and it's just an homage to the first ever helmets (I hate em)
I love the Broncos throwbacks! That blue and orange with the D and the bronco jumping through it. It’s awesome! To me it screams John Elway!

Love the Viking Unis! ULTRA SHARP! One Change I would do is the Silver Helmet Stripe with a Thin Purple on each Side!! Otherwise. Fabulous Look!!
Classic teams, Raiders, Steelers and Cowboys never need to change to be perfect.
I am not a Vikings fan but I think they need to go back to an outdoor stadium. Those icy uniforms would look good in the snow. I am old enough to remember them playing outside at Metropolitan Stadium which was a great homefield advantage!
I know the roof opens so I hope they have enough common sense to open the dome. I doubt they do that though

I’m a lions fan and I think our whole division should be outdoor stadiums. We’re the brutally cold, Midwest division. We need to have the winter elements to our advantage.
The Lions are hands down the best new uniforms. Went back to the Barry Sanders style home and away 🔥. Then those black ones, with the blue helmet... 🚀

The reebok jerseys for most teams were the best. They have the shiny, silky finish.
@fredrickpoggi5493 very true. Unlike Nike, the Reebok-made NFL jerseys drew few, if any, complaints. They should get back that contract.
The H font was inspired by the HipHop albums from several Houston based artists using the font on their album covers

Not only is the font for a lot of Houston albums, it is also the font the Rice uses on their uniform and has been used at other points in Houston history also. Same with the Blue that the Titans keep crying about. The Oilers used that color because it is Houston's color. It has been on the city flag for over a century, was the color of Houston Police cars and the original color of a lot of street signs in the city. While the H-Town look might not do much for people outside of the city, for the old school Houstonians, everything in those uniforms is a reference to part of the city's history.

NGL I didn’t care for the H when they introduced it, but having seen it in person, it’s growing on me. It’s unique & has HTown history from the Rice University logo to Houston music scene. The HTown unis & logo pay homage to the city & their fans. It’s very popular here & looks fantastic in person.
It was also a nod to the Hispanic culture in Houston. They did focus groups like crazy and wanted that Color Rush to represent Houston. Not just Texas…. The more I see it, the more I like it. I haven’t bought anymore gear with the traditional logo since.. 🤘🏾

The Broncos strip the triangle is the map symbol for elevation.

Denver had the benefit of having TWO Tier1 QBs in thier primes fr 1983-1999 & 2011-16.
Chiefs STILL lead H2H All-Time Series vs Broncos by almost 20gms.
Plus Chiefs have 4 SB Titles!

I think the Jets, Texans, and Lions knocked it out of the park with the new uniforms, but Denver, not so much. What is up with that weird ass stripe that goes down the side of the pants on the Broncos new Uniforms?! Also the Jaguars throwback uniforms are perfect, I have no idea why they ever changed them in first place? The Jags should return to throwback uniforms permanently but with a modern twist using the current logo...

About 30 years ago my team tried to change the helmet lasted for 2 days. 9er fans, we don't do change

As for the Jags unis, they should bring them back full time. My only changes? Keep the current primary and secondary logos (it pays respect to our military - not sure why they didn’t use it on our current jerseys) and introduce a teal version of the prowler pants to go along with the white and black ones.

As a Jers fan, I'm glad the Jets are still trying to perfect the uniforms , especially the helmet with the old school logo , much better then the one from a couple of years ago.

I love that Battle red helmet from Houston and the Winter Warrior outfit for Minnesota is definitely clean! Baltimore's helmet I want to see that at night. Most of these designs look like they need to be shown at night games.

I like Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, and NY Jets uniforms and helmets. The NY Giants helmet and uniforms need to be RTS. Minnesota Vikings uniforms and helmet is nice too.😊😊❤😊

The Washington DC WC's(water closets)
Back in the 70's sometimes it was hard to tell the difference between the FALCONS and the BROWNS with the poor brightness, color and sharpness of the old TVs. Sometimes you couldn't see the logo on their helmets and you had to look for endzone or 50, and if the wind was blowing you couldn't see those.

That’s a lot of extra money these owners don’t want to spend lol. There’s a reason only a few teams actually do this. Oregon only did it originally cause the founder of Nike went there.
I love the Jags retro uniforms. Those were some great teams.
Went to a Bengals game at Riverfront stadium against that Jags team. Brunell, Fred Taylor, Jimmy Smith and Keenan Mccardell put a surgical dismantling on the Bengals that day. They were definitely one of the best teams I've seen play in person, if not the best.

I appreciate your views on these looks, but I grew up in Milwaukee during the 70's. I love the "Retro" looks. The Giants 30's look is a bit odd, but I can appreciate the way they wanted to incorporate their past. Remember the first years of the NFL weren't pretty...lol. Now the Texans look? That red Horned look? I thought it was too tacky at first. Too loud, but after seeing your take, your view, I see it differently. As for the Jets? I loved the Jets 70's look and their change to the Green helmet look. I like their tweaks. The Browns, well they are the Browns and that's all they need to be. Great video, thanks for showcasing these. I really wish that EACH TEAM would have one Retro/Throwback uniform from their past. The Redskins yellow helmet 🟡®️🪶 R logo and the feather is PERFECT. Or the Maroon Helmet, Gold Pants, and the Seminole spear from that same time frame. The 70's Eagles look. The classic Buccaneers Creamsicle Colors. Broncos orange crush, perfect! I just love the looks I remember as a kid. I miss some of them.

I think for the Texans' look to be effective they need to make the bull horns the main look and demote their current logo to a secondary logo. Teams need to establish a base look.
I think it's crazy how the Redskins flushed a $billion worth of branding for no good reason. They went from one of the most distinguished looks to beyond blah.

I like the classic blue collar look! The Browns, Colts, Giants, and the 49ers road unis with the all white socks. The colts need to put double blue stripes on the helmet to match up with the double stripes on the shoulders. Rams need a uniform change, their old ones were better. If one team could do the Oregon thing, would be the Chargers. The original Panthers black jersey with light blue and silver stripes were cool. Bring back the Redskins uniforms!

I'm a die hard skins/commanders fan. I actually like their uniforms. Still don't care for the name though. But it might be like the wizards. I hated at first but it's grown on me throughout the years
This is all very well. But they could have spent that money on improving their stadiums, lowering ticket prices etc…
Does anyone else hate it when one team wears ALL WHITE and then the opponent wears white pants? The uniforms blend together and make it harder to tell the teams apart; which could make it more challenging for the officials to make the correct calls.

Everything about the Texans uniforms this year screams houston. The candy paint red is so clean. Its definitely what the broncos were trying to achieve lmao.
I think the Texans and the Lions are top 2 in the league now for uniforms. I’m not a Houston fan, but I’ve been wanting them to change their uniforms for years. It was bland as hell and outdated. Big applause to them for the design and thought into the city-specific designs.
Dude you sound too picky. I like the Giants uniform. If the teams are going to sport new uniforms then they should be vastly different than there more modern day versions. Adding a stripe here and there does not constitute new in my opinion so just go for it. I honestly didn’t like the patriots uniform change back in the 90s but success always makes you look good so hopefully some of these teams will have 4 or 5 game win increases and make the post season making an even “ bad” looking style look great.

That is the reaction I get when I see those Century Red Giants uniforms.
It would have been cool if you would have shown us a side by side comparison of last year's uniforms vs this year's new ones at the beginning of the countdown. Otherwise, great video. Also, I like the Washington Commanders uniforms. They just need a better logo than just a W or the word Commanders. They need a cartoon army soldier or something. Or takeover the old Patriots logo of a Colonial hiking the ball, but instead an Army Officer hiking the ball.🤔

1st change to the Ravens uni and helmet since 1999... I love the front facing Ravens head logo, but it doesn't work on a helmet... should have used the B logo... and they should outline the purple talon stripes on the black helmet with gold to make them stand out more

@DeepInTheField one of my homies was in the fan council focus group that came up with the uniform designs and said there were worse logos that they didn't go with for the H-Town Blue 🤣 so I guess I can't complain too much.

The Viking unis for the WIN. As a Giants fan, I must say that their throwbacks are growing on me. I don't hate them and it's important to remember we are honoring a period so we should look through those lenses. I really like the Jets, Browns, Broncos and Jags going back to their traditional unis- especially the Jets. I hated the "Jets" they had written across their jerseys. They always gave me a cheap knockoff feel.
