For the 30th Year anniversary of Akrapovic, they released an extremely limited edition exhaust system for the Kawasaki ZX10r. This Evolution Line was/is so limited that they only produced 30 individually numbered pieces. Never would we have thought we'd see one in person, but here we are. And for your pleasure, here are some Akrapovic limited edition zx10r exhaust sound clips on the dyno!! These guys traveled from Massachusetts to St. Pete to get their bikes on the dyno. EJR Performance did the tune on these bikes and since they were in florida, they wanted to see what the numbers looked like here since everything is different. Does elevation affect a motorcycle? does humidity effect a dyno tune? Yes. The atmosphere will change the way you're bike runs as the air is completely different depending on where you are. A big question people ask since it's a popular motorcycle riding destination is, do I need to tune my motorcycle for the tail of the dragon or mountains? Typically for most riders, a full tune isn't needed with fuel injection bikes since the bike will make small adjustments needed at higher altitudes. If you're running a motorcycle with carburetors, you may need to make some adjustments manually though. In todays moto vlog, we also talk about the special tool we use to find top dead center of your zx10r engine and talk with a few other customers who have brought their bikes in for performance and tuning needs. Including a Yamaha R1-M that we'll be posting a video about shortly where he gets a few upgrades such as a new air filter and a custom dyno tune to really bring the power out of this bike!

For a piston stop I use a sparkplug, cut the ceramic and thread it on the inside. Realy cheap and works like a charm

I was wondering if you tried a phillips screwdriver stuck in the hole? Forgive me I'm old 😅 . On a serious note ; have you done any work on a ninja 400? I know it's a beginner bike but there's more to it than that. Thanks in advance.

We haven't really dipped into rhe 400 platform but that's not to say we can't tinker with them to extract some power out of them. The screwdriver trick is good when setting timing on a stock cam/stock motor bike. Once you get into doing cam degreeing, it requires you to be a lot more precise with your measurements 🤙
