That is going to make a fun ride. I have a 521" SCJ in my 70 Cyclone. It is also not the Ford crate engine but built locally. It makes very similar numbers to what you got at similar RPM too. It could probably be easily improved to over 700hp with a bigger cam than the 239@.050 hydraulic roller in it but this 4000 lb beast will already light up the tires just goosing it at 60k. I have always been more into higher RPM and smaller cubes but an extra 100 cubes that runs on 94 octane Chevron and makes low RPM power like that is the way to go. If I putt around the gas mileage isn't even too bad.

If an engine makes 600 ft lbs of torque, that means it is usually capable of 600 hp if the engine has the breathing ability through the intake and exhaust. This cool engine appears to be a little short on flow through the cyl heads and exhaust for the bigger cubes.... but great for street engine fun.

I took my wife's car to Chevrolet service for a hesitation and a Engine light on .. Here's the question ❓❓ Why and how does gas get into the oil ??? Thanks Nick for your help... They found on the second electric fuel pump on the top of the engine by the injectors .. The car was running rich and lean back and forth on the fuel injection.. Your engine should find a awesome car to go into and she will RIP and tear up the ground buddy.. From your NUMBER 1 FAN THE BANDIT ...

I'm late to the party, which is nothing new to me, and I've noticed the older I get that that's happening more often.
Oh well it is what it is, and I just don't get in any hurry nowadays.
Old thing we use to use a lot that seems to help carbs out, especially big ones from mid range of power band to the top end, was velocity stacks.
It seems that when a carb has to pull air through a air cleaner assembly, or just over the edges of the carb itself.
It tends to reduce the amount of air it can draw clearly, and with the addition of the venture effect brought into to play with a conical stack, it cleans up the turbulence, allowing it to draw more air through the carb.
Which the cleaner turbulence let's the fuel atomize more making for a more efficient burn rate in the cylinders.
Now it would be interesting to know how well that manifold does at feeding each cylinder equally, because if your not getting equal flow through every cylinder, the power per cylinder isn't equal to the others.
Before egt probes were popular on each exhaust port on the headers, we use to spray water on each tube of the headers to get an idea if it was flowing equally.
Surprised Nick doesn't have those on his dyno, because it's very useful in building engines to their peak capacity through proper dynastic information from each component in the total package as engines should be built.
    PS
It's known fact that the DZ302 crossram filter housing and filters restrict the air flow from cowl induction hood, same with the small air filter that Ford used in they're ram air hood scoop.
I find it highly unlikely that Mopar did any better with It's crossram, and inline dual carb filter housing and filters.
Granted they look killer, and are authentic to the engines
Which brings up couple more questions to my mind.
Since these carbs appear to be stock setup for dual carb Mopar engines, are they in fact big enough to supply the air requirements of this engine, and have you flow tested them to see if in fact they flow what they're claimed to?
Nick have you verified that your getting equal flow to each cylinder so that each one produces the same are close to the same as the others?
Because all the above will greatly alter the engines performance, and if you has EGT sensors on each tube then you could verify the best manifold, in addition to verifying the carbs are flowing the amount of air needed equally through each carb.
Just thinking out loud, and wondering why you don't have all these bases covered to be a top notch builder tuner of high dollar engines.
No disrespect meant by any means as you are gifted in your ability to do what you do for sure.
But these things would take you to the next level on your craftsmanship.
I was taught to be the best at what I do, and using everything available to achieve that is only way to do that.
Not a expert mechanic by any means, nor do I claim to be, but from everyone I know that builds engines for themselves for track and offroad competition they go to extremes to get every once of power, then back it down a touch for longevity and reliability, but know that they have more if they need it.

So Nick[ I have a dyno question. why do you immediately shut the engine off after a pull, rather than let it idle? my thought is that letting the engine idle while you make changes (obviously other than jetting changes) would let the really hot parts cool off, while letting the entire engine come up to the same temperature. I can understand doing the final pull with most of the engine cool. which would give the highest numbers to print. it just seems like getting the entire engine up to normal operating temp would reflect normal operating conditions better.

You have it backwards, Nick. Horse power is what you feel, not torque. If you have more torque, you have more horsepower. Therefore, you go faster. Why does everyone think this?
The definition of horsepower is a certain amount of work done in a certain amount of time. So, the more HP, the faster you go, and the faster you go, the more you feel it. That low-end torque is making more horsepower down low. You don't feel torque. You feel horsepower.

Forged crank, forged rods, forged piston, aluminum heads, cool. All those goodies and you use a flat tappet cam, why not a roller? Less friction, better ramp rate potential. Never saw anyone start Dyno runs with too much timing and then back down, completely backwards.

    Nice motor .
528 came In what vehicle ?
Exhaust manifold will cut hp and tq 30 % loss. But will richen the mixture.
Where if you were to run short headers you would get more tq than hp over all @ a different rpm range.
Should add air cleaners as well guys.
    Be safe team.

I dig Nick because of his conservative approach to engine optimization/tuning. Regardless of what power plant, the main concern is everyday reliability and delivery of that plants performance. Fire it up and enjoy a great day/night drive. Anytime, anywhere you want to go. The ability to spank a smarty pants "hot rod" kid is outstandingly brilliant! I'd like to have coffee with the man. I'd smile and listen; (pay for our breakfast too) James, from Michigan. PS, I'm 60yrs down the road and still riding motorcycles and driving BB sleepers. :) !

A quick comparison of your latest 572 Hemi and this 528 the HP/CI equals 1.28 hp/ci on the 572 and that equals a theoretical 677 HP for this 528 to equal the 572. Same thing applied to TQ/CI shows 1.26 LBFT/CI has this 528 coming in at 666 lb/ft which it was very close at 660. Interesting
