I was a Mechanic for 30 years. and I personally run Supertech full synthetic oil in my new 2023 Toyota Tacoma right now, but I will NOT go past 5000 miles on any oil 4000 is best no matter the brands name, back in the day we changed oil 3000 miles max. changing oil often is key.
The additive packages on the supertech is better than a lot of higher priced oils out there. Check out PQIA which has ingredient breakdown on almost every oil available . On my 2019 3.5 Ecoboost as well as most modern turbo engines, extended oil change intervals are not a good thing. AMSoil is great oil for longer change intervals. But if I'm changing about every 3500, no way $15 a quart oil can be justified. Blackstone analysis on last 5 oil changes with supertech says run it longer. Thank you for putting in the work to get the info out there.
My father in-law has always used supertech oil on his truck since new back in 2006. 320k miles later, the truck is still running and still his daily driver and used for his road trips. Still has the original engine that has not been rebuilt at any point as of yet. It's good oil for sure but may not be suitable for every car out there, especially European cars.
Radiator blew and engine over heated i spun a bearing motor is toast. I ran supertech full syn for 3 years in my 2006 chevy silverado. My motor did fine with the oil but when it overheated due to the radiator is what did it in. Still cant help but think that it might have been ok if i was running valvoline oil since it holds up better and longer to high heat. That matters when crazy shit happens or in performance applications.
Nobody has sued Walmart for the super tech oil ruined their motors. I run the 20,000 mile full synthetic in my 2017 ram 1500 5.7ltr hemi. Zero issues and the motor is quiet and smooth
Bought new car Y2K. After 24 yrs., and 51 oil changes = 161,000 mi. all I ever used was Wally house brand oil! Did not use their filters, cut one open, not good.
I bought this oil for my f150 5.0 its got 224000 miles. Its got alot of miles but I garantee for the past 7 years its always had its oil changed every 4,000 miles. Anyways I want it to last for another 200,000 miles. I only been uaing Full Synthetic for the past 2 years. As an engine ages it prefers certain oils over others. Ive noticed it seems to like Penzoil Platinum full synthetic, then i changed to Royal Purple and it loves it, but my wallet doesn't. Ive got my next oil change lined up with this Walmart brand full synthetic oil waiting to to in the old girl, and I'll let everybody know how she feels about the change.

This video says absolutely nothing
Drove a tundra with 400,000 miles, the boss used Supertech synthetic and the supertech wal-mart oil filters every 5,000 miles for it.
Same here that’s all I put in my ‘01 Sequoia
Good oil and filters. But, those old Toyota engines will run forever especially with 5k miles changes. They rust out up here before the motors die
It's not Theo oil brand is your truck brand that's make it to 50000

Most of those off brands are manufactured by Warren, a company with lots of experience in producing quality lubricants.

Always use the OEM oil filters. The super tech oil is just as good and a lot cheaper
Super Tech filter? What was wrong with it.
Honda's OEM oil filters are terrible just like low end fram in North america.
@@mikestephens8314 No no, Wally Fram had less stuffing than normal jobber Fram.
@@SirtubalotTX Not a lot of stuffing inside.
