- This shooting trip I'm out hunting invasive feral pigs and foxes on private property. I've got the ATV Quadbike and my mate Rodney from RJM Hunting Australia. Lets go shoot some pigs !!!
There's plenty of action packed killshot footage video with the thermal scope !!!
These feral invasive animals don't stand much of a sporting chance with this type of pest control / shooting / night hunting. But that's the idea......... Critters on the deck and not killing native animals and damaging agriculture is the aim of the game !!!
I'm shooting the following rifle in this video:
* 308 Winchester - Ruger American Predator 18". Fitted into a MDT Gen 2 LSS chassis and running reloads with 150 grain Hornady SST projectiles. My thermal scope is the new Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XP50 Pro.

The L96A1 is an Accuracy International-produced sniper rifle and currently the sniper rifle of choice for the British Army.
This was my personal weapon of choice in the British military over a 20 years service period
I still have this rifle in my collection which is chambered to fire the 7.62x51mm NATO, plus I have my grandfather's Lee-Enfield Mark 1 chambered in .303 second world war rifle.
My side arm of choice is the The SIG Sauer P226 chambered in 9mm get more rounds in the mag.

"Pest control" is my favorite sport, with which you can get rid of pests, and you can also shoot for fun! 👍 By the way, the thermal scope is excellent -- it's so clear, and reticle is so fine (it's $6,000!😲👍).

Are you SURE that's 308? Good Lord....😲...but nice work regardless. That thermal imaging is absolutely out of this world.....I used very basic NV back in about 1983 or so whilst in the army cadets and the difference is, literally, night and day.
Yeah thermal has hugely advanced. Even in the last 5 years.
Those Hornady projectiles look worth the money

Was a bit of a shit show shooting on this trip. Big days chasing deer then we did this stuff at night. Burned the wick at both ends for sure.

Imagine the destruction stopped of farmers properties if Australia had semi automatic pest control firearms.
It's very sportsman like keeping it old school with that bolt action.
I'd run a semi if possible in Australia but they are hugely restricted to own 😩

Years ago say back in the 80s we only ever got pigs along rivers and swamps and around water or in stubble crops mainly in NSW and QLD but now I see a lot of people shooting them up in the hills and out in open paddocks like you are doing, we’re you would normally find deer.
So is it me seeing things differently or are pigs adapting more to this environment and breeding very well because you seem to find a few large mobs of them.
By the way I really like your videos and the Thermal is brilliant keep them coming.
Thanks mate. The pigs move around a lot depending on the season. Mountain pigs transit into the crops and vise versa.

I have just got back from a shoot a couple of day ago did a lot of walking on the first afternoon to no joy second day was a total nightmare riding in front seat rifle in back seat come round a corner an a deer jumps up an I jump out of 4x4 grab rifle an the ammo was sitting on the floor 😅 so that was a lesson well learnt .did get a hine that evening so made up for it .keep up the good work mate 👍

Love the Pulsar gear. New scope image is crisp. But the audio recording does not seem up to Pulsar’s usual standard?
I believe the sensitivity of the audio will be fixed with a firmware update 👍
