Mate, question for you out of pure curiosity. Why do you favour the 308 over the 30-06?
Ammunition costs are much less. And for bulk shooting that's a big consideration. I still enjoy using my 30/06 but not for this type of shooting.

We can have certain semi auto's if the licencing requirements are met. I may or may not, will depend on how much shooting like this I get work for.

Yeah that's the bolt. Audio is very poor on the new Thermion and makes it sound much worse than it is.

i know a tripod helps alot, but (apart from practice) how do u maintain your accuracy with a bolt action rifle?
I do this kind of shooting regularly. I guess that keeps me tuned up. Range time and shooting fundamentals help too.
Since your culling pests wouldn't you qualify to be able to use semiautomatic rifles?

Nice work Edge of the Outback, you’ve probably saved a few farmers a few hundred grand over a year or 2!
Prior to the Sourgum harvest they were impacted by pigs $20-40k of damage a day across the farm 😳

I used exactly one APS3 battery in two full nights shooting. I turn it off when not shooting. Gotta love the 3 second start up of the Thermion 2 💪
