      They definitely took a hit with that merger with basically one of their competitors that always held them back, sad to see where Chrysler is today but Dodge, Ram, and Jeep are all doing very well!

    Love this video! My favorite by far is the Super S! I have a 2015 300S V6 as my daily, and tried modded my car to this similar style. Aside from full performance boltons/tune; I have SP 20x9 wheels, sport appearance package, SRT rear diffuser with tips, R/T front brakes, and SP suspension with lowering springs. I love the look that reminds me of the newer 300 SRT’s overseas.

    Yeah, Super S wins hands down. Chrysler should just have a one-year run of a Super S--like they're doing with the Hellcat Durango.
    There. Will. Be. Buyers.

    • @MarspeedCars
      @MarspeedCars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I totally agree. Add it to the lineup and people will go nuts for it. Then once the wool is pulled from their eyes and they see that the 300 performance models sell, they can re-introduce the SRT or have a Scat Pack 300 which would be so cool

    • @paxhumana2015
      @paxhumana2015 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MarspeedCars , why not just go for the Hellcat, Hellcat Redeye, Demon, or Hellephant powered Chrysler 300 instead? Also, as for the Dodge/Chrysler Viper based 1991 Chrysler 300 concept, Chrysler/Stelantis should simply use that platform to not only remake the Dodge Viper, but also make a sister vehicle that is made for Chrysler that is called the Atlantis.

  • @Matt-uy4zk

    FYI for the Scat Pack stage kits, The advertised power for each stage is approximately the total power when combined with the previous stages. A stage 3 is only around 60hp added WHEN COMBINED WITH STAGE 1 & 2. A Stage 3 Scat Pack 5.7L is proven to put out ~430hp and 447lbft tq with the Arrow Racing Tune designed for the packs.

    • @MarspeedCars
      @MarspeedCars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks yeah I was wondering about that. Those are some hefty prices to pay for just 60hp haha, but at least it’s proven parts from the dealer and still nice power! Those kits seemed to really fly under the radar, I guess when the Scat Pack trim was released they were useless

    • @Matt-uy4zk
      @Matt-uy4zk 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MarspeedCars thanks for the reply. The big thing with the kits even though they were very expensive was that they didn’t eliminate your factory warranty and were factory mopar parts. Given the complete stage 3 package (they are intended to build off the previous stage) costed in the neighborhood of $9,000 and still didn’t have the performance of the stock 6.4, they kinda fell off the map. love your videos, keep up the good content 👍🏻

    The Heritage Edition is clean. Review the 2009 Heritage. SRT interior, exhaust from the R/T Charger and 20" chrome wheels from factory. Its RWD and has roughly 40 more horsepower than the standard 300C and its 0 to 60 is 5.5s. Underrated car. Keeps up if not beats the most recent 2019 300s Models.

    Areas on the front half of the 1991 300 right away resemble the first generation Sebring.
    The 300C Hollywood would be a perfect special-order car for celebrities, millionaires, and politics.
    The 300 Eco would have most likely had a lot of recalls and issues.
    That 300 Super S is a sick machine! The exterior is beautiful! I love the idea of Mopar aftermarket parts in the 5.7 instead of using the N/A 6.4.
    I'm hoping to eventually see Chrysler get back into the luxury vehicle market with the current market's most popular vehicles, along with limited production and special-order vehicles that have more purpose instead of just a trim level.

    Well they were Chrysler products so I liked all of them! It annoys me where Chrysler is right now. I don’t even know what’s going on with Chrysler right now! Do they literally just have the current 300 and the Pacifica in their line up?! They need a resurgence and come back as a legitimate luxury brand. Bring back the 200 but as a coupe and leave the sedan for the 300. The 200 can be a sporty quick coupe while remaining quite luxurious, maybe not as much as the 300 to keep the 200 affordable. Instead of cancelling the 300, go all out, and UP the luxury in the 300, more tech like digital gauges, etc. keep a base 300 with the pentastar so it can be more accessible and affordable for those that want a 300. Up the luxury with the 5.7 for those that want a bit more speed with their 300 and more Luxury. Then go all out with luxurious trim and another engine option, either the 392 HEMI or the Hellcat Engine. Since it’s being cancelled might as well try to appeal to those that have been asking for this on the 300. Also add an SUV to the lineup. Seeing the new wagoneer it’s outright beautiful and very luxurious, I mean if Jeep can pull it off, I’m sure Chrysler should have no problem.

      We can only hope that FCA/PSA merger will shake things up a bit with the Chrysler line up...

    • @MarspeedCars
      @MarspeedCars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you check out my other videos I made one on what Chrysler needs to do as a ‘Blueprint’ for success and you definitely touched on some of them. They basically just have the Pacifica and 300 left (plus a Pacifica base model that they call the Voyager for 2021) and that’s it. They definitely need to add an SUV and revamp the 300 since that’s an icon to their brand!

    So it seems the original 300 concept inspired the Fisker Karma

  • @DavidSmith-sg5lc
    @DavidSmith-sg5lc 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    FYI, so the actual designer for the Pre-Production 300C car was done by Dave Smith. This car was done as an in-house RWD package concept as a Dodge which was meant to replace the aging FWD LH full-size vehicle. The front was later swapped out and was heavily inspired by Osam Shikado's design of the Chrysler Chronos concept as marketing wanted the Chrysler sedan to come out first and then the Dodge second. That front end design work was done by Bob Hubbach. These designers reported to Freeman Thomas who was the executive in charge. This car sat for a couple years as the production studios tried to do a newer rounder design. In the end the original package car was selected as the production vehicle. Ralph was promoted and the car with the theme intact was given to the production studio to bring to production. At that time Diamler was newly connected to Chrysler and was ousting Chrysler's senior and director level management and replacing it with their own Mercedes executives who didn't really understand how Chrysler worked. This was not a merger of equals. Designers saw what was going on and started to leave for greener pastures. Dave Smith, Brian Nesbitt and Michael Burton left for GM. Mark Walters left (designer of the Tomahawk motorcycle) left for Renault. Jordan Meadows (designer of Jeep Willys Concept) left to Mazda, Freeman left for Ford and so on. Chrysler wasn't going to give credit to designers that left so... Chrysler is a small design house so this impacted them quite a bit as this was a strong talent base that defected.

    300 was indeed sold in China, but I think just normal imported version (touring S and C) for the 2011+ model years. Before that, the 2005 gen 300 was produced by the joint venture of Mercedes and Beijing Auto, included 2.7, 3.5 and 5.7 versions

      Yeah it just got caught up in the middle, but to be fair it sold really really well for a while. It was the kinda luxury car for $30-40k, just below the good stuff like Lexus and above the cheaper stuff like Mazda let’s say (timeframe 2005-2010). They could have or maybe should have made the vehicle crazy nice luxurious and upped the price to really compete in that luxury segment. But Daimler always held them back unfortunately

      Private car companies do have great concept cars, what ends up in the showrooms is what the federal government mandates.

    As a Chinese person, the Ruyi concept doesn't seem to be a good introduction for the car to Chinese market. I do like the sporty features, but all of those just don't fit the name well. What the name "Ruyi" might bring to customers is an image of a sturdy, safe big car so that the sporty stuff just seems unnecessary, but a bit against the name... Chinese culture also doesn't fancy black/grey colors very much as they are always considered ominous or unlucky, again being a little controversy to the name... The car, from my perspective, is a already designed car with some Chinese culture stuff stuck on, making it looking awkward. There is a Jeep & Chrysler dealer near my home and 300C are never frequenters. Hybrid Pacificas are more frequently seen than 300Cs...

    Maybe if they spent more money on designing some high volume cars, they'd be "in the money". 300 sales are dismal, if they didn't have Jeep and RAM, they'd be long gone.

    Love the stitching, dash and interior of the concept 300's. Instead we got stuck with the typical cheap ass chrysler plastic. They dropped the ball on th LX platform.

    I hate that they are just letting Chrysler go to the dogs . It was a such a good brand and they spend so little interest in the company anymore . I have owned Chrysler products for yrs . My last one was a 2012 300 Limited Sport and it was awesome . I still kick myself in the butt for selling it . I now have a Audi and it don't compare at all . Would love to see and nice revamp of the 300 and a decent convertible in the line up as well . They have lost out on that market . If they had done a Challenger convertible it would have sold like hotcakes , but NOOOOOO . I'm tired of waiting on the Barracuda that they have been promising for the last 10 plus yrs . That they promised a convertible as well . I think Fiat has just been lazy with Chrysler cause it was just to way to get back into the US . SAD .
