      @@musicman59753398 yeah omg 4 engine installs, hundreds if not thousands of hours total with all the mods. I do love the build process, but I don't love the issues like a faulty crank, etc. Shit happens all you can do is push through it never quit!! Hope yo have a great week bud!

    What clutch do you use to hold this amount of Power ?

    • @MichaelBrownPlus
      @MichaelBrownPlus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mantic triple with billet flywheel. I have another couple vids dedicated to the clutch install etc.

      @@Goczku I sold the car a few months back but I was looking to do a sequential (Katech sells a nice setup). Pricey but that would be my path. I like to track (road course) the car over drag, so sequential would be the best bet. The guy who has my car now just had it painted, more carbon, just cleaned it up some. So far new new mods to the drivetrain that I'm aware of.

    when you did your engine build was there any kind of check list torque sheet you used? trying to find something other than the oem manuals to use to stay focused on the build and not forget

      Yeah check the corvette forum dot com. I was very active here and there over the last 20 years, lots of good stuff there. Check FYREANT posts a buddy of mine tons of write ups with pics. My avatar/name is C5-VERT, will see some content there with me also. If you can't find any let me know.

    Have you had any issues since you got the your block back? What crank is in it now?
    I also have a c7z and my engine just recently went to crap (collapsed lifter) and I’m shopping for a long block

    • @MichaelBrownPlus
      @MichaelBrownPlus  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No issues, in fact all my issues were due to a faulty crank. Once Texas Speed sent me a new short block fully built and I threw it all back together, this time with a dedicated front mount oil cooler setup (improved racing adapter, hoses, and 3 pass core), it's been flawless. I sold it back in April. The new owner had all the small paint issues touched up, new carbon side skirts, rear spoiler, fender arches, and interior updates; basically, the car is now perfect, aesthetically and functionally. It's mostly only driven now to car shows, but he weekend drives it sometimes and it's not had a single issue. Texas Speed proprietary forged stroker crank. I was skeptical especially spending $10,500 shipped on a short block, but since the new build it's laid down 1150 wheel with zero issues.

    Man this was awesome! What size lower and upper pulley are you running?

    • @MichaelBrownPlus
      @MichaelBrownPlus  ปีที่แล้ว

      DSX 9.08 lower and Griptec 4.125” upper.

    • @itshiho
      @itshiho ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MichaelBrownPlus Wow I'm running 8.25 lower. it says on the ProCharger website that a 8.25 lower and 4.25 upper will max out the blower rpm of 74,000 at 7,000 RPM

    • @MichaelBrownPlus
      @MichaelBrownPlus  ปีที่แล้ว

      I will have to look that up but the F1A-94 can be over spun. I’m at 22lbs at 7200 rpm.

      @@MichaelBrownPlus
      Here's a link where you can do the calculations yourself. It shows you're spinning it to 85.5K which is 11K over blower spec but that's ONLY if you're going to 7200RPM, since you stopped at 6400RPM though it was only at 2K over spec so not a big deal. That will get your more power quicker but will also generate more heat. How much extra peak power it makes you'd really have to do a comparison by going with a bigger upper then dyno (don't think you want to change the lower). As long as the power doesn't peak early and then drop off and your IATs are good then you should be okay but It could hurt you up top on the street or the track if IATs are too high and the power is starting to dip once it's spinning too far past blower spec. I would try a 4.5 upper and rev it to 7000-7200. It might make even more power at 7000+ rpm without the extra heat. Good luck man and congrats again on getting in the 4s!!
      ** I forgot the last pull was at 6700RPM, that shows 5.6K over blower spec. Assuming IATs are okay I would test both the current setup and a 4.5 upper to 7000+ RPM and compare the results.

    I'm doing a forged 416 next year thinking of running the F1a-94. What heads are you using? What's the drivability like on the road?

    • @MichaelBrownPlus
      @MichaelBrownPlus  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Stock heads they flow great for boost. Spend that money elsewhere. Just make sure you have trunion upgrade and a good set of dual valve springs/retainers. I drove it to pick my kid up all the time sat in car pool for 45 mins running. Drives great around town. -94 is perfect mid to high range power.
