  • P1000 is a code that comes up when the computers obd Two monitoring system hasn't completed it's check yet. you would want to drive the car around for fifty miles or more, just to complete it's drive cycle. this is a code that shows up when people delete it with a scanner.

    Milage is irrelevant in getting the monitors to set. All the Monitors can be set in 20 minutes by looking up you vehicles drive cycles. Example... After vehicle reaches operating temperature drive 45-55mph for ten minutes. After ten minutes release the gas and coast for 30 seconds NOT touching the brake. That drive cycle is for evap and misfire etc.

      P1000 can show up when you reset the PCM / ECU and have not driven the vehicle for more than 100 miles.

    I parked my car in my driveway, tried to turn it on the next day and it would crank and not start. I thought it was the battery so I purchased a new one and installed it. Now, when scanning it's giving me that code. Because of the holiday, all mechanic around me are backed up. I have to wait till Friday to get my car towed to a mechanic.

      Sorry I just saw this. Yes it did. Today the tow came and took it to my mechanic. Guest what? The car turned on! My mechanic tried a few times until there was smoke coming from the hood and surprise it turns on.

      I asked him to check it and make sure nothing else is wrong and he did. He told me your car if fine and nothing is wrong and did not even want to charge me.

    I have had my car for 2yrs an i do all my own mechanical work that code has just popped up an i didnt clear any code this video was pointless

    • @Kingcustomz
      @Kingcustomz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The video isnt pointless. A code doesnt have to be cleared via scan tool. The computer can remove an engine light when the monitors run their tests and complete their tests... p1000 is if any recent codes have been cleared. Maybe you had an issue with the oxygen sensor... then the code went off by itself. There for it cleared. A p1000 code would come up. Maybe you disconnected you battery , when you reconnected it the codes went away.. even leaving your gas cap open can cause a check engine light and if you corrected it then you will have a stores p1000 code until your car monitors that all testing is completed.

      @@Kingcustomz you do not get a check engine light with a p1000 code

    • @Kingcustomz
      @Kingcustomz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No you don’t, but if you hook the scanner to it and it picks up a p1000, then you know a code was cleared

    Where is the “how to fix it”???

    • @Kingcustomz
      @Kingcustomz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How to fix it is, drive it around for 100 miles. And see if any lights come on. If no lights come on your vehicle should be good. If a check engine light comes on. Scan the light and see what code comes up
