I got this monitor a couple of months ago for $900. from Samsung online shop. Military discount took off 200 dollars from the on sale price (1,100). Awesome deal.
This is the way to go. I just picked up two of these the same way for $810 each. Absolutely worth every penny. It's an extra 10% off the order if you get two right now.
This Monitor is awewsome. But I prefer the G93SC Version of it. No TV Features but who needs it onn PC? Plus I like the thinner stand of it. If you place the Monitor near the wall, the thinner stand will shine mor light on the wall.
10:58 dude dont mislead people sure it retails for $1700 but it often goes on sale for like $1200 so i would strongly advice people to not buy tge 1099 version and just wait for the sale it would easily be snatched for 1200 and get the smart features (which most ppl dfont want but i think its fine) and most importantly Gsync and speakers i think the 1099 version has gsync but i cant confirm so i wouldnt risk it for a mere 100 difference
@@JoelsterG4kboth don't have g sync module, only oled that had it was aw3423dw, all other oleds have freesync, including G93SC and G95SC. Non smart features model has split screen into 4:3 and 21:9, wich G95SC cannot do, so yeah G93SC while been cheaper is superior.

G9 49" qd-oled or S95C 55 " tv? i mostly play cooperative and singleplayer games and occasionally i emulate games, but i do usually play battlefiled, cod, csgo and PvE tactical shooters with my friends. @@JoelsterG4k i believe S95C also support's 21:9 ultrawide and 32:9 super ultrawide aspect ratio, it can be changed via game bar as far as I'm aware, do you think it will provide similar experience and immersion as the G9 does without the curve? Does changing the aspect ratio of a TV provide similar experience that of a monitor? Sorry for bothering you my brother.
@@TheQuimlicker Got you. I was talking about the samsung screen. I dont feel like that one is worth it as its too thin. The 45 inch monitor I actually just bought and I love it.
My C2 is good for Mario Kart and other console games at 16:9, but I prefer a monitor over a TV any day for immersion. They are both spectacular pieces of equipment as far as I’m concerned, but subjectively- the G9 trumps the C2 in nearly every other aspect of gaming for me. Hey bud. I really appreciate your content! I watched you and Victor's reality while I was researching my next monitor purchase. Is there any way you could maybe disclose your best settings for the monitor please and thank you in advance! 💪

This has to be a mistake. I own the Samsung CRG9 which is years older. It can do PbP at 100Hz at 1440p. I would just double check online because nah that's not right surely.
The other oled g9 is the exact same thing same speakers, gsync and all just minus the smart feature which is useless if you’re connecting this to your pc which already has those services

@@JoelsterG4kYes it does. The monitor is cheaper because it lacks smart features, a remote, and the processor for the smart features. LG 45 seems better. Just the narrow size makes things too stretched out. The 45-inch gives you more real estate.
The screen size high is the same height as a 27inch 16:9 screen. It's more than enough. It being so wide gives the illusion it is thin

I have been looking for cable. I looked up the one you advertised. Product says 120hz. Is that adequate enough for this monitor?
Yes if you are using HDMI yes.

Only games on PC can be played in full screen, sometimes it goes on sale, check regularly.

can you change the aspect ratio to have 16.9 console and the rest your pc?
Everything i have read you cant get 240hz on that monitor with hdmi 2.1
Would I be able to fit my PC along side the G9 monitor on a 60” desk?
Yes the G9 with the curve is about 45" and most PC cases are around 10" wide so you'd still have around 5" left
does the cheaper version (G93SC) have the burn in prevention options like pixel shifting?
I assume it does but I don't know, I haven't tested that monitor.
