I hated this version because I had to settle for it!lol Always wanted the Commando with the wolf version. searched everywhere for it, but never found one. Also was very disappointed that he had these badass butterfly swords on his chest, but couldn't use them!
as for the blowgun...plus he has no opening in his mask....my 2nd favorite joe figure...'88 storm shadow is my alltime favorite...tomax and xamot 2 pack (87?) would be my number 3...thanks for the post, and the memories!
i really enjoy your reviews i watch all of your blip channel reviews an i enjoyed watching you evolve your art/craft. i just enjoy listening to your in tell on gijoes. i'm a 80's toy/sat morning cartoon fan by heart. i never watch anything else on on blip i hate the advertisement style they had.i never use dailymotion ever never knew what it was or cared thanks lol. but its worth it thank you for your hard work a fan
Did you know there was a navy blue snake eyes which was made from 82/83 mold? It didn't come with any accessories and I got in a season one DVD box set.
My Fav snake eyes of all time i love the story how he got the suit from the paine brothers those 3 issues are still my fav from the gi joe marvel series. Im thinking they didnt give Snake eyes any screen time in the cartoons was because he didnt talk?...I got a few of him Loose and Mint on card...Very cool to display him and storm shadow together. Great review and learned something new about his "Nunchucks" Thanks for the info!
I'm not a sword expect but my guess for the holes in the daggers and the sword is to allow a faster swing allow the wind to pass through for faster use.
There seems to be a lot of reports of accessory goofs from 1989-1990. I blame it on Hasbro transitioning from their Hong Kong factory to the new one in mainland China.
I like "knight visor" Snake-Eyes, but this is always going to be my fave. He mixes the commando and ninja elements perfectly.

The 25th Anniversary v3 Snake Eyes has a place on his backpack for the Uzi to hook into. Great review!!
I hooked my uzi to the staff. Holes like not only reduse the weight but streanthen the blade when used to chop
V3 is my favorite Snake-Eyes and the first I ever had. So cool.

This is unargueable the best snake-eyes version ever, but the sword with it is dissapointing, it is not at its top
So that's where that outfit came from.

I did a review of that figure years ago (it was one of the cartoon videos I had to remove). I think I'll make a new one!
The thickness of the crossed blades on his chest looks awful! That never should have been sculpted onto the figure.
i used to put the sword on the backpack,then hook the uzi on one of the holes on the sword,and just never used the blow gun.
If you want version 3 snake eyes to look truly bad ass get a blk marker fill in all the sliver and he looks awesome

i hooked the gun onto the holes into the sword and draped the 3 sided weapon across his back on top of the backpack.
My Snake Eyes came with two swords en-stead of the blow gun. Did that happen to anyone else that you know of?
