Hello and welcome to a brand new #Top10 video brought to you by #TheFullForcePodcast and GeneralsJoes Reborn with me, Christopher McLeod aka Diagnostik80!! On this socially isolated, socially awkward and socially unacceptable episode and with the #SnakeEyes #GIJoeOrigins movie just around the incredibly long and confusing corner, I’ve decided to take a look at my personal Top 10 #ActionFigure versions of #GIJoe’s most iconic Ninja Commando! Favorite version is 1989 V3. Still have the one from my childhood and absolutley love it. I am excited by the 6 inch line Snake eyes for the details but nothing will ever beat my childhood nostalgia :)
My favorite snake eyes figures are V3, V4, V23 from Valor vs Venom and the Walmart retro series.
My all time favorite is the GI Joe Resolute Snake Eyes with the green night vision visor. Amazing!!!!
I'm happy to see v4 on here. I have a very soft spot for the DIC cartoon. I loved that version of Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow.
Great video Chris!!! Even though I had both versions of SE as a kid, I'm going with the POC/50th v54 for my favorite SE. I like the meld of the commando and Ninja look of that figures. I also was able to army build the 50th version and made an ME AF SAS squad with them.
Chris, thanks for this diversion from a late night at work. I'm sure you're busy, but this kind of content, where you give in-depth opinions on the nature, quality, context, and history of the figures, along with a healthy dose of personal anecdotes, always shines bright. Version 6 is my favorite modern 4 inch SE figure, and stands at #3 overall behind version 4 - the first one I ever managed to find in a store. Number one, we agree -- it's got to be Classified. To that end, no need to enter me in the contest as I've got the figure and prefer it goes to someone who hasn't.
And for the record, I love Renegades -- the designs were great, the writing was strong, and the story was fresh, a sort of prelude to the Allor Joeverse. I thought the animation itself was mediocre and didn't do justice to the design quality, but it's a deeply underrated show. And, lol, "peanut head Scarlett." Sadly one (the first?) of several.
Version # 2. I was obsessed with it. At one point as a kid i had over 20 of them and they were the only ones I would play with battling cobra, or the decepticons, or Skeletor, or the villains from mask.
My fav is the Arctic Trooper Snake Eyes. Because I love customs and this figure seems like a custom made by someone with access to the production equipment.
My favorite is 1985 version 2 because he was my favorite as a child. If you take away nostalgia it is definitely the 6 inch exclusive.
Classified version! I don't have it yet, but the overall design, pose-ability, and mere fact that we finally got a 6-inch version makes him a winner any way you slice it
All time Favorite Snake Eyes for me the resolute one, not the glider, the city strike one because it was the first SE in my collection that could hold his Katana with both hands and the blend of commando and ninja done to perfection
Great list! Thanks! I think the version 1 Sigma 6 Snake Eyes might be one of my favs. It was new Joe toys in a totally different style that was so cool to me. Still love that fig and the line.
I have to say I love my blue and gray snake eyes. As a kidling, I found some blue electric tape that matched his pack and made a couple sheaths for the swords and he could hold all his assessories. I still have my original with sheaths. Since I don't own 00 classified snake, my #2 is the store release. Great figures all around
My favorite has to be version 3 from 1989. A lot of my friends had the 1985 Snake eyes, but it was long off pegs by the time I was playing with Joes. Since there was no ebay at the time, I had to play in my room with the characters in the line at that time. Then 1989 came and not only brought me my first Duke in a Tiger Force version, but for the first time I got my hands my very own Snake eyes. The crossed swords on the chest, 3-bar nunchuck, eagle claw sword, and blow gun for a man that always wears a mask. 85 may have been the one I wanted, but 89 built all the memories.
Love the list gotta give up to Hor Toys Retaliation. They just hit it out the park with that figure and here's hoping there will be something equally pleasant with the new films release
I agree the Hasbro pulse exclusive is gorgeous while I have not had him in hand I’m looking forward to it greatly
Just ordered number 1 now released with decreased accessories but now includes a white timber Wolf and shemagh.
Snake eyes v2 will always be the snake eyes to me , love me some orings but god damn do I want a 6” snakeeyes after watching the review !!!
Partial to the v67/Retaliation/Ultimate(s) Snake Eyes, myself.

I really want to see the Hasbro exclusive 6” snake eyes. But I go back and fourth between PoC v54, City Strike v48, Retaliation v58, ninja showdown v62. The ninja showdown v62 was a simple figure but has the articulation and color scheme that I like a lot so for today I’ll go with him. Honorable mention dollar general v59, modern v3- (v34), apprentice v38, Modern v2-(v67) and classified comic pack. Each one has a different part of snake eyes that I love.
My favourite Snake Eyes is Sigma 6 Windblade Snake Eyes. It's a nice update on the classic look, features upgraded articulation, and includes a throwback to one of my favourite GI Joe toys of the 1980s, the Helicopter Action Pack. The package art and commercial had Jinx wearing it, which just shows that ninjas are drawn to helicopter backpacks like cats to boxes.
I definitely liked the original series of Snake Eyes, however, I can't wait to get the newest one of snake eyes. I have been looking on eBay for the original one, but the seller was really rude to me when he stated that the figure had loose knees, yet he was trying to sell it for more than it was worth, even with loose knees, and would not want to fix it, despite all of the videos out there on how to fix loose knees by using plumber's tape. He was trying to sell the figure for close to $90 with file card and accessories, but I know how it seems to some people that they can jack up the price of a G I Joe figure based on the Action Figure Authority (AFA) grading scale, which I think is a scam.There has even been people who sell playsets like the Cobra Terrordrome for $47,000 USD , or the USS Flagg for over $17,000. I think that real collectors are not going to fall for such scams and Joeflation.
Snake eyes v3 should have been on the list for sure. First ever Snake-eyes I bought and the look was iconic especially the large 'Yong Chun Quan' butterfly knives strapped to his chest.
That was my #1but all black version of classified but now the new snake eye's and timber classified 2 pack is the best one yet!!!!!
I didn't expect to see 91 Snake Eyes on the list. I'm glad to see love for that figure as it was my favorite version.
My Favorite version of the character is the 50th anniversary one that came with Storm Shadow. Followed closely by the 1985 one.
I have preordered both of the 6 inch versions from Hasbro Pulse, but I'm looking forward to getting them.
My favorite Snake Eyes figure is version 15. It was essentially just a repaint of the v1 snake eyes but I enjoy the coloring which was added for v15
V4 was my first SnakeEyes, and I'm glad he ranked so well on your list!
I lost all his pink weapons pretty quickly, which just made him cooler.
I also snapped up the HotToys version (and StormShadow) when they was going cheap a couple of years ago.
Not a fan of the movie, but I tend to buy them based on how cool the figure is, regardless of the crappy source material (like Suicide Squad Harley, Suckerpunch Babydoll etc.)
Resolute is so amazing. I wish we had another go at Resolute in a season 2.
There are so many versions of snake eyes that are absolutely awesome, but v2 is what really made him my favorite character as a kid. The ninja aspect along with the introduction of Timber.....oh and he still kept his uzi.
I dont have it, probably never will, but my favorite is the upcoming 6" Snake Eyes....and yes GI Joe Renegades was awesome and i still cant believe we only got 1 season, the only character i didn't like on the show was Dr. Mind Bender, everyone else was amazing....great list btw :)
Yes!, most definitely the Hot Toys Retaliation 12" and the original 3.75 comando are my Fav's, but these new Hasbro 6" are unique! , new regular Classified all black painting I believe has more mystique, but the Hasbro Exclusive set with different detailed paint job on boots and belts with Sword Armour shelf, is one of a kind!, thank you for the video! enjoyed it a lot.

Hey I'd go with version three. I remember seeing on the pegs and always wanted one. Sure it was not the classic but that was long gone by '89. I always dig his shades.
Not my favourite (v54 is) but the 2005 VvV SE is the best o-Ring sculpt with webgear, timber and a mix of military commando and v2 visor
Wow that Renegades Black jacket version is SICK. Never seen that, Im kinda late on being a fan of GI Joe action figs, as I really only like the Ninja styled ones.
This might not count but my favorite Snake Eyes is the Prime 1 statue. Besides a superb sculpt and a truly intimidating Timber, you can interchange hands with swords or firearms, and in the exclusive version choose between the visor and goggle version heads.
I am also very sad now that I don't have the 3 pack Vietnam figures.

I would say my favorite snake Eyes look would be his retaliation look! His 4" scale is my favorite look in my collection! why I like this version is because Snake eyes looks more sleeker to me and he had some awesome parts in the movie! -Luke
My favorite is version 32 of the comic pack. Because the figure had torn clothes and that gave more life to the figure. If I won the contest, do not notice that I live in Colombia. I have an address in the USA to receive the award 😅
My favourite is definitely v2 Snake Eyes... I remember being a sucker for the animal companion figures and I guess I haven't changed all that much in the 35 years since (yikes).
Loved number 10! Loved number 6 with the Commando head, because it the closet that came to the 1982 version, but with more details! I still need to get my convention Snake Eyes from Hasbro. They keep sending me emails that it keeps getting pushed back. What's up with that?! lol
I'd have to say my favorite is the '85 version 2. It is the figure I measure all other versions against. There have been many attempts to imitate/duplicate it, but if someone says Snake-Eyes that is the representation that comes to mind.

So many great versions my heart will always be with the first two originals from Hasbro..... but that Hot Toys version is sick. It looks amazing!
The 50th anniversary Snake Eyes is my favorite; moreover, he has many an accessory!
I just don't feel right counting any version I don't have, let alone any I've never seen up close. So, with that said I have to go with an odd choice of the Kre-O commando version. I think it is a fun (and about as accurate as can be in that form) version of the original V1 figure that started this insanity.
As much as I love the original figure, Resolute is a favourite for me. The figure had the right colour scheme as depicted in the Resolute special and the green goggles was a good refresh as to always getting black visors.
12:00..." violent aspects " G.I. Joe doesn't shine until you let the characters do what their trained and equipped for. #5 1985 series is the best version (v2) of Snake Eyes. I played with that Commando (Code Name: Snake Eyes) v2 for years and never cared about not having the v1 Action Figure " Commando ". And when I did get the v1 Commando still used the v2 Commando. Timber coming with him puts the Action Figure over the top.
Not even an honorable mention for version 3? I shall stomp my foot and storm away now!

The best Snake Eyes figure ever made is the 50th ann. version that came with Storm Shadow. All the guns, swords, head options that figure was and still is the most amazing Snake Eyes figure.

I really liked the one that had the two giant knives on his chest he came with a ton of accessories so I could spread them around to others. if picking out of the ones in the video the new Classified serious Snake eyes it's the scale I collect and ever sense I was a kid I've wanted 1/12 scale Joes. And maybe the fates will shine upon me on the day of the drawing I turn 47 the same day. Good luck everyone
version 54 is my favorite. It is the ultimate combo of ninja and commando.

As a former military guy, i can tell you that There's nothing stealthy about light blue & bright neon red and red swords. You like this version,great, that's perfectly fine, but make no mistake, this is not snake eyes. Snake eyes has always been being about being tactical & stealthy so he can't not been seen. This isn't Snake eyes. I'm not a hater by any stretch, I'm just a huge fan of the real Snake Eyes and sticking out like a show thumb so everyone can see you. However, I do agree w/ you that classified snake eyes 00 is the best version
I got to say this 6in version of Snake Eyes is the best hands down! Not only is it the best figure but it is also the best that Hasbro has ever released in articulation in their entire run of 6 inch figures Hasbro has produced to date! Also being an omage to version 2 which is my favorite version of Snake Eyes in the original run including Timber which sadly we have not gotten yet but I'm certainly sure Hasbro has heard the cries and it will not be forgotten and produced somewhere down the line!

version 3 is trash, this list is suspect AF!
My absolute favourite version is V2, but V4 has a very special Place in my heart as the first Snake Eyes I got new, on card. I loved the V4 design enough to get the Hall of Fame version as well.
