This is a review of the boxed figure Zanzibar and his small craft, the Air Skiff (basically a fan-turbine hydroplane). This Dreadnok pirate is notable for being the first 3 & 3/4" GI Joe figure to have rooted hair. While the figure and vehicle set was released from 1987 to 1988 at retail, Hasbro made the set available through mail-order from 1992 to 1993. While very distinctive and memorable, it is not a popular set on the aftermarket.
I forgot that 1992 Dojo and 1993 Banzai (both Ninja Force) also had rooted hair. How did I forget such iconic figures? #sarcasm

Great review. I almost forgot about that deluxe figure. I really liked Panama Jack. Seeing the figure together again with the other dreadnoks reminds me just how much I liked that Capn Jack Sparrow figure.

I don't think I'll do the 1986 Dreadnok Ground Assault set or Air Assault set since they're very fragile and very expensive.
jon ulrich i had those sets. and they are expensive and delicate. the plastic was brittle i think because of the colors
