  • In this video I go over the procedure I use to level the bed on the Ender 3 v2. This procedure is compatible with all 3D printers that use the turn knobs for leveling.
    ====BED LEVEL CORNERS ORDER====
    Bottom Left, Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Right, Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Top Right, Top Left, Bottom Left

    Thank you for this video, great content. Would you have video about fan upgrade? Steps to do? are you install noctua fan (12v) ?

    Firstly, I had no bloody idea I could remove the clamps so easily. I've had a bit of protective plastic stuck under the top one for a little over a month, so thank you.
    I'll be sure to try this, I have to send my BL Touch back because it is faulty, I am so annoyed. I didn't even know there were knockoff versions, this one is called 3D Touch.
    I hope other people have had a better first month of 3D printing than I have. It has been no end to disaster. :(
    Don't get me wrong, I have printed a few things, some of which came out amazing, but the amount of fails out weigh the successful prints. I love print-in-place, it took me a week to successfully print a flexible Pickle Rick. I had to enable raft just to get some adhesion, with brim or skirt, the parts would just wander around the bed.

    Great video. Would you mind to make a video on your fanupgrades? The original e3v2 is too loud for my wife ;) I would love to hear your thoughts on the fanupgrade. Cheers and greetings from Germany.

    Great video, thank you. I have a question: how to find the 'starting point' of the bed levelling? What I mean is, from what level of the springs' compression do you start the process?

    • @EB3DPrinting
      @EB3DPrinting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You know, that's a great point and one I should have included in this video.
      What I do is I tighten all of the springs all the way tight, then I back each one off 5 full rotations. Once that is done, I lower the nozzle onto the bed. I then adjust the z-limit switch up until it clicks, then lower it until it is just about to unclick. That is where I tighten it into place
      This is then my starting height for leveling the bed.

    Thanks for the video! Question, how are you lowering and raising a side of the x gantry, if it’s not level ?

    • @EB3DPrinting
      @EB3DPrinting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It shouldn't be out more than 1mm or 2mm. With that, I just push down or pull up on the right side of the gantry while holding the left. Then I recheck their heights with the height gauge parts and calipers

      I was about to ask the same thing. I haven't checked yet but I feel the bar is slanted due to the tightness of my springs under the bed.

    the problem I have sometimes is the bottom layer "sticks" and the print is looking great and eventually it still starts to lift up...makes no sense. I have had this happen various times throughout my year or so with this printer. I always get it to stop but it seems like I do different things until it works and it never makes sense...I never really understand how I stopped it. The bed can be leveled so perfectly. The filament brand new. everything just perfect. Then bam after like 3 or even 6 or 7 great prints, it happens again. Even with hairspray. I check the bed, check everything, nothing changed. everything is flawless...yet 1 or 2 corners start lifting. Most frustrating thing ever. So I bought an s1 (and an s1 pro but haven't used that yet). Same damn thing. I'm starting to think maybe it's the cool air coming in my window or something cuz this sht makes no sense. This s1 printer has the auto bed leveler. doesn't help. PEI steel bed (it was a deal where I got it free with printer purchase). Same sht. Lifting up on 1 or 2 corners out of nowhere. Anyone know what this is??

    i do not have the option for leveling. Is this a special firmware oder custom?

    • @EB3DPrinting
      @EB3DPrinting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the option for leveling is if you have a BLtouch installed or are using a custom firmware like Jyers, for manual mesh leveling

    I cant seem to get my x gantry level....mine is sagging a mm on the right side if you stand looking from the front of the printer. Thanks...great vid btw.

      I would say check the bolts that hold the x gantry to the pom wheel plates. There are 4 of them, and may need to be tightened.
      I also recommend checking out the x gantry section of this video:
      th-cam.com/video/AN0MlQMMew0/w-d-xo.html
      I used that vid and it really helped me with my x gantry problems.

    Needed to have a cat squale. Noise after the level hit.

      I tried to throw it so it didnt make noise to avoid that cliche, but it ended up bouncing into the chair anyways. Haha
