6:30 This moment is intense. Him pitching down the wah-pedal and then the slight string scrape with echo and reverb creates so much atmosphere. Justin's contribution to soundscapes within the band is just awesome to see. And that look he gives after, holy shit.

5:55 is an amazing moment. That is the reason why they sound like they sound. They are facing each other, listening and responding to what the others are doing. In the rare clear footages we get from concerts, this one is quite epic. It seems like they are just jamming looking at each other to establish communication while playing. That is also why it's of paramount importance for a band to look at each other while playing. You can get the visual clues and mommentum of when the sh*t 's about to go down to some epic wormhole. Doing this bit at this speed it's not particularly easy. These guys are just gigantic musicians.

Guys who are saying crap about MJK, please note he's always said he hates how he's treated at a show like he's a god sent person to be worshipped, it takes sway from the shoe.. also he got his eye screwed up with a laser piointer .. he talked about it in one of the Rogan shows. I was there on Friday and no laser from light show was pointed at our faces in that. He always always always asks for flash off, what he would've said about shit in your mouth was Maynard being himself since 92, no disrespect, the guy suck at making jokes, but at least they were lucky he talked his stuff and they had time before song started to take it off.. where i eat, the security was coming to remove them.. he's odd, a reclusive guy, with being being grateful for those who listen to their music maybe that's why he's a genius songwriter and singer.. did those who think he's this sigh bad egois high on it.. ever noticed he clasps his hands together at end of every show , why instead of criticize for not saluting the crowd you understand the significance of that anddd I kid you not he looked directlyb at the two guys he called out.. understand the great meaning of such to another human ..
Awesome show, thanks Tool you mofos for giving me an eargasm yet again.
And so happy especially end part of north America tour, the "old classics" are being played..
Hope i hear them rock Jerk off 😅

This is one of the most beautiful and exciting bass lines in the history of world music, in my opinion, along with the bass line of the song "Hysteria" by Muse. It’s so deeply etched in my memory that I can’t even describe it. It creates a whole range of sensations in the soul - from anxiety and tension to space flight

I always appreciate when a band doesn’t play a song the same as you hear it on the record. Not only does it show their musical flexibility and coordination, but as a listener it’s giving me a version of a song I love that I couldn’t hear anywhere else. Led Zeppelin was famous for that, I don’t think they ever played a song the same way twice from gig to gig. Every audience got something different everytime, even if they had already seen Zeppelin numerous times before. Given that Zeppelin is a clear influence for Tool, evidenced by them completely reimagining Zeppelin’s No Quarter, it would make sense that Tool doesn’t play a song live exactly as they recorded it. I wish more bands would take the time to give their audience more than just the same songs the same way over and over.
