Every one of them is a master. Danny is unmatched, period. Adam and Justin make it look easy.... but only because they are so talented and technically correct and accurate. Maynard is a lyrical genius. Tool doesn't need to showboat. They are all ridiculously talented and put on the best live show.
He's one of the greatest drummers just based on the fact that their songs are in such weird time signatures and switch back and forth often. He's a monster.

I’m a singer myself, and forgetting the words is an every day thing. These songs are so complex. He has to think about the lyrics + keeping time. A lot of singers use teleprompters now with a side-stage guy scrolling through it for you. At Maynard’s age, it wouldn’t hurt. No shame in it. Love these guys so much. Supposed to see them in TO last October.. but, things didn’t work out. Just praying they come back through Canada again. I won’t make the same mistake twice. 🖤
@@firstrowconcert I was also in front of Adam last year and most of my fotos are with the same trio as in your video. It’s natural I guess. Hey man, thanks for sharing this. The sound is cool and intimacy of observing them from short distance makes it really worth watching. Hope you had great time!
@@firstrowconcertspent my 2022 concert two rows away from Justin and this 2023 concert a bit further back from Adam. Personally I had more fun watching Justin, but imho you get a better view of Danny if you’re watching the show from Adam’s side. Thanks for all the work you put into this and for sharing!
This one must be tough, I remember when the album first dropped he came in on the wrong spot... the timing must be a bit challenging for him. At first I thought it was because it was new and they were still working out the kinks but... now? 3 bands and 30 years worth of songs and he never does this.
Ladies and Gentlemen the greatest “American” musical Band of all time and it’s not even close you do not listen to TOOL ……. You submerse yourself into the brilliance of the masterpieces which they create PERFECTION
Thanks for doing such a great job. Holding a camera steady, even a phone camera, for 14 minutes is a significant challenge. Tried my best at the SLC concert but with some occasional disappointments. I’ll have to spend some time working out before I go to their next concert and wait for this opportunity 😂
The depth within their music is outside the human spirit. It's unmatched in terms of how emotional it makes you. They are truly one of the most talented rock bands ever. Never been a fan of tool. The passion of the fans honestly made me not even want to listen to them or give them a chance. Went an saw them at Aftershock this last year. I was impressed by how good the music sounded. I was not impressed with the "lack of energy" from the band or Maynard. He didn't say a single word while I was there, and I got butthurt about that. I left a bit early to beat the crowd. Came back home an talked to my friend who loves this band. His perspective and my obsession made me realize this band isn't there to entertain or impress anyone. They are artists and are there to perform their art. This understanding turned my whole way of thinking around for this band, been listening to them nonstop. They are so damn good. Really happy I was able to have a OpenMind about them. I look forward to seeing them live again, and I hope to be near the front, eyes glued and in a trance. Cheers.
They aren’t there to impress but they will take your $150 per ticket while making sure not to impress us. Fans pay a lot to support the band. They should show some appreciation, artist or no. That’s just called the advanced concept of not being a douche. The rest of the band is appreciative and come out for a bow at the end. JMK just walks off. Whatever. Be that way I guess. This was absolutely amazing to see live. What a rollercoaster this song...from emotional to heavy as fuck. Tool is amazing! And at the same time I love that they are struggling a bit here. Adam forgets his volume pedal is down, Maynard forgets some of the lyrics at some point. Makes it all the more human to see that even for them, this is a complicated piece of music.
