    LOVE! I'm in the process of re-doing my kitchen with this same kit. So far I've done my stove and dishwasher. I am going to re-paint my kitchen cabinets next and save the fridge for last, but so far the Liquid Stainless Steel Paint Kit is Great!!!!

    I'm going to paint my white refrigerator stainless steel too. Wasn't sure how, but now I know thanks to you 🤟🤟👏👏. You did a fantastic job. The handle can just pull out starting from the bottom and then the top 👌

      Great to hear! I really like it. I'm glad you can remove your handle. I couldn't, and now the paint is chipping off a bit where we grab it. I think primer would have helped. Let me know how it turns out.

      @@diyingaintpretty8778 handles - the little caps come off both bottom and top by pushing up from the sides. the the middle (nubby) section pulls out completely, then you'll have screws holding in the handle bracket, just unscrew and the entire handle is off. you'll have to paint it in separate pieces but at least you can set it aside and work on it individually

    I see how easy it was for you. I think I would have someone else help me by going behind me to smooth out the roller streaks before the paint dried. Thank you. You did an awesome job and I like how you talked about some pitfalls if not careful.

    @diyingaintpretty8778 nice job! Did you paint over the settings on the water/ice dispenser and what would you do differently with the handles?

    There is an attachment for a drill to stir paint. But I have a retired handheld mixer. I just use one beater and it works great.

    I am moving into a place with all stainless and I have a white fridge. I was going to buy a new one but after seeing this I think I will try to paint it and see how it goes. thanks for the video!

      Have fun! This paint will look slightly different than pure stainless steel, but it didn't bother me. Let me know if you have any questions once you start!

      Thank you so much! I still love it. I would definitely put a primer on the plastic handle next time.

    This is definitely my next project! Question: do the handles fade over time? Thanks for the great video!

    • @diyingaintpretty8778
      @diyingaintpretty8778  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So sorry for not replying! Yes, I would suggest putting a primer on the handles first. I ended up wrapping the part of the handle we grab most in colored yarn to hide the places it wore off.

    MAKE SURE ROLLER IS COVERED before beginning
    AND ONCE YOU START with the wide foam thing DO NOT STOP! ONE CONTINUOUS MOTION. And clean off foamy excess after each pass.

    I always pull my hair back when painting, which I do often, and I still manage to get paint in it! ;)

    Did u paint the handles or get new ones?

    • @diyingaintpretty8778
      @diyingaintpretty8778  ปีที่แล้ว

      I painted mine, but they are plastic and the paint didn't hold up on them very well. If you get new ones I would go with black, because the paint doesn't quite match exactly with real stainless steel. They do make refrigerator handle covers that you could do too. The paint only wore off where we always put our hands, so this would cover it.

    How many kits did you use? Because you did 4 coats

    • @diyingaintpretty8778
      @diyingaintpretty8778  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used 1 kit and there was plenty. I bought the larger kit for refrigerators. I know they sell a smaller kit for other appliances.

    I don't think you showed but did you paint the sides of the fridge?

    • @diyingaintpretty8778
      @diyingaintpretty8778  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sides of my fridge are visible, so I did paint them. I chose not to paint the top, because I'm short. 😂

    I wonder what it would have looked like if if you lightly sanded between each coat

    • @diyingaintpretty8778
      @diyingaintpretty8778  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question...My patience is lacking when it comes to sanding. The fridge still looks amazing 1 year later. Except the handles...prime them first!

    how has this held up (two years later)?

    • @diyingaintpretty8778
      @diyingaintpretty8778  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the late reply. It still looks like it did when I first painted it. The only part that hasn't held up are the handles, and that's because they were plastic, and I should have done them differently.

  • @shawnanderson1922

    For peolple in apartments does anyone know if sanding/painting the fridge will result and you not getting your security deposit back??

  • @rosemariekelly3742

    Yes I see the difference, it's more dull

    • @diyingaintpretty8778
      @diyingaintpretty8778  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The overall color is definitely more dull than actual stainless steel. I know some people have painted all their appliances to match. It's nice though, because fingerprints don't show up on it like real stainless steel.
