That 18650 you have looks like it is a “protected” 18650. That kind has some extra stuff stuck on to the top (under the wrapping), or at least that is what is my understanding of it. You probably need a regular/unprotected one. They are slightly, but noticeably shorter.
Yes I did a video on the ALU 35 where I go over these. This version seems to be the standard size for uses where it is installed like a standard AA or AAA. The solder in place ones also wont fit as the plastic on the door is taller than the metal contact.
very interesting equipment, great fun👍
Lots of fun!
E36! I must acquire one!
I like the body on this more than the ALU35. Its really nice.
It’s like one of the Q-steer cars from the 2010’s. Would be crazy if they redid the mini Tamiya buggies
Yeah those were very cool. It would be great if they did that.

I’m surprised you get so much equipment for that price.
A TON!
18650 flat top (vape battery) may fit
I cover that in the ALU 35 video. The flat top hits the plastic on the door and the terminal wont reach. It's so weird.
So nice to see the whole family having so much rc fun
What it's all about!
I had smiles all along the family traffic congestion :)
poor Mini lol
Hahaha! Indeed!
