We highly recommend an SLA body mount & springs while the chassis mount be printed in a dissimilar material like SLS nylon.
Hardware used:
M1.6 x 0.35 x 6.0mm
Note that the chassis uses M1.6 x 0.2mm screws that are very hard to locate. You will need a M1.6 x 0.35 tap.

They are good looking trucks after a lot of help. The translucent bodies, not the greatest electronics and RC4wd over pricing it really hurt the it a lot. However it was a perfect platform for folks like you to make a ton of improvements and make it a lot better!

It is so interesting to see the development of an idea, complete with the little setbacks that always come along the way. I don't have this particular truck. But I have had my share of screws that break off in the chassis rails. I don't know how to get them out. So I just have to use another hole...

Absolutely fantastic. All your modifications makes me wish I would have bought one when they were marked down a while back. Obviously you can’t refer to it as the “come hither” body mounts because the Scale builders guild copyright, but you could refer to it as the “Calling Tokyo” method 😂
Na, its best to buy it and all the accessories when it came out and was as expensive as possible!

In that intro clip, is that the Micro Machines city that folds up into a tool box? I was given one of those for Christmas when I was about 4 and I still have it. It's a really nicely designed toy and hours of fun.

Can you cover a way to have the yellow body look less.... transparent and plastic?
It was a very helpful video as always, I like your inclusion of the missing screw, and some of the other challenges that comes with this scale.
The plastic on the yellow and red ones is awful! I sent that yellow back to my friend but paint the inside of the body silver a couple times. That will do it.

I know this is way off left field. But do you have any new developments on your Buddy Making the 2 wheel 4 wheel drive selectable transmission upgrade for the Tr X4.
yup! They are shipping the units out. Best thing is to join the discord linked in the video of the upgrade.
Anyone else look at the shapways link , those materials do not match what is being recommended 🤔. My mini factory is an option but only if you have a resin printer 😕
Yeah they do not call SLS/MJF the right thing. They call it basic nylon or something like that. I dont have the polyjet option up there as I think it is too brittle so ideally you get the nylon mounts and get the springs/body mount on an SLA in abs-like material like I did.
