    I can't believe a company is doing this much R&D on a 22-14 year old trucks. You guys do excellent work, looking forward to buying one of your 47rh transmisions

    It would be great to see other typical compound combinations put through this same test for an even better understanding of this setup's performance relative to what many people have on their trucks already.

    The fact that you have more power over a broader range with the small compound setup is awesome. Obviously applies to real world towing at not chasing numbers. Will turbo/manifold blankets help spool the compound setup as well? Regarding towing based on THIS dynosheet, what is the recommended RPM for constant speed highway towing and what does the EGT numbers tell you (based on RPM)? Let's face it, 2022 diesel prices are insane.

    I would love to see you test a stock turbo, the K27, and a compound of the K27 with a turbo both larger and smaller than this set-up. also I am looking at your piping and trying to figure out a way to put an intercooler between the turbos.

    Looking at buying this set, what deliver valves, injectors were used? What would be ideal with this setup for food power but still maintaining decent mileage? What about a truck that'll run 3200-3600rpm down the highway at 75mph?

    How does a S359 compound kit compair to variable turbinator & s475? My first setup He351/475 had a ton of turbo lag. Then swapped the turbin & exhaust housing with Turbo Labs setup... helped a bit but still hate the lag with 150hp sticks. Dropped to 100hp to get rid of all the black smoke everytime I took off of below 1800-2k. Looking for 700hp. 01 Cummins with a performance Vp44, Fass150 ect.

    Have you tried putting a variable venturie turbo on a twelve valve turbo
    Seen people banging their head trying to over think it when all you need to do is take the actuator off and run a variable throttle lock cable to the turbo and adjust it to where you want

    Can an engine equipped with a compound turbo system be as responsive as a naturally aspirated engine? What I'm trying to understand is if is there any turbo spool up lag. I mean...when you press the throttle, all the way down, does it take any time for the turbos to spool up...or is it absolutely extreme instant response ( just like a Tesla car for example ).

    • @bcbloc02

  • @stevewalker9066
    @stevewalker9066 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would think this system would not fit on a Ford swapped Cummins as the turbos and pipes are too far out and would hit the AC equipment. The DPS Compound setup has the Fummins in mind. Cheers

    I may have missed this in comments, but are the numbers corrected or Uncorrected? I’ve got a 24v p pump engine I’m putting in my second gen currently. My “crappy” for better words, compound set up with the vp44 engine according to my mph time slips/weight was around 500hp and I’m at roughly 8-900ft elevation so this power range uncorrected would deff be a path I’m looking to go, considering y’all are at much higher elevation. If it’s not? What setup would you guys recommend? My setup I’ve got now on the engine and fuel set up is based off of word of mouth from 3 different prior owners but “supposedly” pump flowed @550cc, valve springs, arp studs and not sure on injectors other than a “7x pretty healthy size holes “ what I was told was 225hp which I know is a shot in the dark when it comes to sizing out a turbo set up
    I’m just trying to shoot for the 7-800hp range and not worried about drivability as it’s not my DD just a side toy
    On a side note I’ve got my trans out and converter for refresh. Which also has all billet shafts, servo, accumulator, anchor, apply lever, and I assume stock ratio rocker and I have waited on the converter so I can re-stall as I need, considering my turbo set up I run. If y’all could help it would be a blessing! I love these videos and I support you guys best I can! Anything Cummins related I need comes from y’all! Thanks for all these awesome informative videos!

    Can this kit with the 369 make 750whp on my truck with the PDD exhaust manifold option?
    Fleece Cheetah Turbo
    4k Gov Springs
    5x13 Bosch Injectors with Bosch Nozzles
    PDD 025 DVs
    PDD timing kit at 18 degrees
    PDD 60# Valve Springs
    PDD hotrod Lift Pump
    PDD Max Travel AFC Kit with 35-45psi spring
    Rack Plug
    Tek Fuel return bolt
    100 Fuel Plate
    4" Exhaust
    3rd Gen Ram Intercooler

    • @pddofficial
      @pddofficial  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No there is not enough air you would be better off with a 475 or 472 over the top of the cheetah to reach 750whp.

      knightlike101 you have a small turbo (k27 in this video) so it lights quicker and that feeds air at the low end, then when you fuel up the bigger one starts kicking in

    690 to the wheels or the crank? How does this setup compare to a HE351/S400 or He351/369? I was impressed with Will's HE351/s480 setup with street drivabilty and power. Also you stated that you are fueling for 900HP. what it the ideal injector/DV setup for a cleaner 600-650 to the wheels with this setup?

      @Datsmepepe 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the information. I need to sell my S300 62/65/12 and come see you guys a tow setup. Also I like the intake piping but are you losing anything to the 1st and 6th cylinders? I thought it was important to run a twin ram setup to help with air flow to those cylinders.

    • @kallen68
      @kallen68 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I really appreciate PDD testing and doing video of their products. It by far shows the commitment to doing business. They also do a bunch of online diesel support in forums without always pushing there products. A very fair and honest company by my assumptions.
      I'm with Chris on the he351 question. The k27 is hx35 replacement upgrade and most people upgrade to a he351 from a hx35. Although PDD has great prices why buy a K27 if you have the he351 already? The he351 can be upgraded for cheaper and perform better than the K27??? The K27 is a 60/70/11, wouldn't understand why a 60/58/9 or 60/65/9 he351 wouldn't spool quicker.
      Wish you guys had 3rd generation testing and data as well.
