Bought some drills bits from Temu and 1st go it came apart as they were not once piece. My favourites are a $37 set of forstner bits that are remarkably good. There is a lot of terrible stuff and surprisingly some good stuff. Get what you pay for. Can I suggest that when you do these videos that you try the items out beforehand so you know how they work and not waste your time unpacking and trying to work out how to use them and have wood ready to use or set up. Creates a better atmosphere and people will watch longer. Just my opinion. I like you having a go and some fun and singing silly songs - that's me. Well done Jesse.😉
For the plug cutters, drill a hole in a piece of wood the same diameter as the cutter. Clamp that piece of wood on top of the wood you want to cut the plugs out of. Place the cutter in the hole and it will act as a guide and stop the plug cutter from wandering around. Hope that makes sense
I have the same miter guage. The extra "washers" for the miter guage are to be mounted under the guide rail to help keep it in the track. Thats what the extra holes are for in the rail, and if yours is the same as mine the rail has recesses so the guide wheels or washers will sit flush. Some people dont like using them because it prevents you from lifting the guage straight up and out of the track. I like them, it helps prevent the miter guage from falling if you pull it back a little too far to where the fence is off the table. Hope that helps
I made it to 6.28, young people dont know much yet so maybe it is better to watch people with more experience on how to use stuff. He will be better after some time, until then... good luck buddy, keep on doing what you like.
Would be nice to know if the miter gauge (it's not a fence) is square to the table saw slot, and whether it's adjustable if not), and if the angles for the stops are accurate.
Hi with the dowel jig you need to use a faster drill and it doesn't matter what timber you use if it's cutting ruff you need to push slowly ,or the blade is a little blunt. With the plug bits you need a pedestal drill to be more effective. Thanks
That utility knife is a box cutter! You're not supposed to push or cut sideways with it! It's meant to be pulled for opening up boxes! And it snaps back for safety when you're done making a cut in a box! And that dowl maker tool You're using wrong! I got one just like that one from temu and it works great! You use square wood stock to make round dowels and it works great!
a 12 point socket can fit a cut square piece of wood... you need to chamfer the end of the dowel-blank so it can fit into the hole for the size you are cutting.
Sand down both ends of the wood so they fit in your drill and in the slot. The rest of the piece can be square. After your done and before you take it out of your still get apiece off sand paper and rap it around the dowel then run your gun. Hope that helps
well, if you had a lathe, you could turn down the end... but if you had a lathe, you would just use it to make the whole dowel. Low grade router bits are never good. They call it a miter fence, because it lets you do cross cuts like you would do on a miter saw. And that miter fence actually looks pretty good for the price. I would have liked to see if it has angle marking and if those marking are accurate.
If you don't have a drill press, use a block of wood and drill a hole in it with the right diameter (outside measure of the dowel bit, and use that as a guide. But I'm not the first to that option
im 50 and in school we had shop classes started when we were 10yo and we learned how to use stuff and fix stuff like woodwork or metal work and fix cars cook sewing not like now where you have classes so you can learn if your a cat or a man or woman and get taught to be stupid
I would take that utility knife fishing and throw the thing into the water as far as I could. The blades are sharp and housed in plastic? I dont think I would use it
The same exact bits that were shown, I have used them multiple times with my drill press, I had to slow it down to stop it from burning, I have purchased many tools and other items from Temu and when you decide to do a return they refund and let you decide what to do with the return, I have only had to return one item that I asked for a refund for and have a box full of stuff that they said to keep.
Do your research and know the product you are talking about. Read your table saw owners manual so that you can speak with confidence. Best of luck to you
The utility knife is a box cutter and the so called drill plugs?!?@ are chamfer cutters. They are used to make a chamfered end! NOT DRILL PLUGS!!!! The amount of comments by people, who are completely wrong, telling you how to use the so called drill plugs is astounding.
If my comment came across as aggressive and harsh it was meant to be. You are using tools and equipment, that when used wrong, WILL cause life altering injuries. People ignore nice suggestions and comments but pay attention to mean or aggressiveness. You seem like a nice kid, however, you said "roast me for being lazy" and roast you we must. DON'T YOU EVER USE ANOTHER TOOL OR PEICE OF EQUIPMENT WITHOUT RESEARCHING HOW IT WORKS FIRST!!!! I have seen severed limb injuries because of carelessness, bandsaw blade injuries to the face because they guy did not use it properly and completely mangled fingers from an IMPROPERLY USING A BIT FOR SOMETHING IT WASNT MEANT FOR. SON, your young and your new. Please be more careful and always do your DUE DILIGENCE when using equipment. I hope you learn something from this and never give up, only improve as you are more the capable of doing.
@Johadart Clearly you don't comprehend the English language MAKING CONTENT AT THE EXPENSE OF SAFETY? I did him a favor. Clearly you only care about his content and not his well being. How about you back up and maybe think a little before commenting.
Definitely need to learn the terminology for what youre reviewing and talking about. Do some research beforehand and the video could be shorter and more informative. If you get that down, these videos could go a long way
First, don't quit your day job. I can't remember when I've seen such a poorly presented review. I have bought tools from Temu and found all of them to be useful. They are cheap, and as a consequence their longevity is questionable. The worst thing about the tools is the packaging they arrive in and poorly written user manuals. All in all, you get what you pay for.
The flush cut saw, needs to have very sharp...FINE teeth...or your just hacking the dowel off and leaving a very rough cut. That is the problem with cheap made in china japanese flush cut saws..
I have been a carpenter, and a cabinet maker, for over 60 years, and my best advice to you is, learn what the tool was intended for, and how to use the tools before you try to demonstrate them. Sadly this video was like watching a Monkey give driving lesson's!
Yeah I tried to watch this and you have no idea, I can admit I have no idea half the time, but to pretend you have an Idea while having no idea makes this a rough watch.
Plug cutters honestly they are rubbish well so far the miter gauge not either and price is to expensive for the quality sorry amigo I say hello from London just search between ali Temu and banggod you be surprised the different things you find a good price is a war between them believe me good luck 👌👍
Sorry, I stopped half way! There’s not much point in reviewing things if you don’t know how they work.
Agreed.

You're right, some Temu stuff is good some is bad. Its like a mystery box!

...or use a drill press yeh?
You really need to put these in a drill press and they work really well.

Hard to rate tools if you don't know how to use tools. I made it almost 10 minutes before I moved on.
I made it to 6.28, young people dont know much yet so maybe it is better to watch people with more experience on how to use stuff. He will be better after some time, until then... good luck buddy, keep on doing what you like.
The scary thing is that he has a workshop. 😂
Jesse keep up the great videos, don’t let anyone scare you away from doing what you like.. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

With plug bits I think would work better with a drill press!
You should use those plug makers with a drill press it needs the pressure to go into the timber
Sand down both ends of the wood so they fit in your drill and in the slot. The rest of the piece can be square. After your done and before you take it out of your still get apiece off sand paper and rap it around the dowel then run your gun. Hope that helps
What's a drill gun?
Doweling works better with the grain. long grain is stronger and youre more or less making a circular rip cut, which will be smoother.
You are using the plug cutters wrong, meant for a drill press.

But did you learn punctuation?
On behalf of old men, I apologize for this JERK above. Thanks. I liked watching your video. Looking at same miter gauge.
@@FotoTravis meeeeoooow!
How can it be good value if it doesn't work ? Do you like throwing good mo ey away
Plug cutters are usually used in a drill press.
Are you in Canada? Metric plug cutters are fine for Canadian woodworking but kinda useless for imperial here in the States.
I would take that utility knife fishing and throw the thing into the water as far as I could. The blades are sharp and housed in plastic? I dont think I would use it
You should NOT be doing tool reviews.
You are not the right guy to be reviewing anything more complex then crayons!
Hope your a better woodworker than a reviewer you dont know the diffeeence from a dowel cutter and a plug cutter
After watching this video, im getting a very gene wilder willy wonka vibe , " etcetera, etcetera, etcetera " 😂😂😂
I also bought the plug bits, use my drill press and they work as they are supposed to.
Did you also get the bits with the circular bottoms? I was optimistic I could do it all with a drill gun.
Now only if I didn't have to sell my drill press. haha
It makes sense they dont work in a handheld Drill. Since they dont have any means to Center them
Maybe the dowel bits are meant for a drill press?
Thanks for showing the Japanese hand saw! 👍
Aluminium is a metal too!!
Very simple. To use a plug cutter you need to use a drill press.
Those plug cutters are for a drill press not a battery drill😂😂
those are not plug cutters they are chamfer cutters.
Chamfer cutter really.
@dtwistrewind7361 yes really. They are to put a domestic on the end of a plug or dowel.
Is supposed to use plug cutters with a drill press, not a handrail
He plug cutters are normally used in a drill press
Plug cutter will only work properly in a bench drill with the plug material in a vice.
Do your research and know the product you are talking about. Read your table saw owners manual so that you can speak with confidence. Best of luck to you
They worked fine in a drill press
its called a table saw miter guage
Plug cutters must be used in drill press

Can’t stop laughing keep it up
4 plug cutters for $4 is never going to be worth your time, even if you used a drill press
A utility knife is only as good as the blade is sharp.
Definitely need to learn the terminology for what youre reviewing and talking about. Do some research beforehand and the video could be shorter and more informative. If you get that down, these videos could go a long way
Set the drill in pos 2
Good comedy sketch
"bought" suuuure.
Drilling the wrong direction!
Dude, the dowel cutter is massive failure. Good ones aren't much more. Sorry

It looks like it is for cutting tree branches.

Next time let your dad do the video!
LOL
You say temu, I say thumbs down.
SO! Basically, you bought junk because you know crap about wooding tools and how they are used!
Yeah I tried to watch this and you have no idea, I can admit I have no idea half the time, but to pretend you have an Idea while having no idea makes this a rough watch.

Please learn how to use a plug cutter before you try to review it. You should watch tool reviews, not make them
A lot of rambling and saying nothing..
How can you possibly judge something without testing it...
Plug cutters honestly they are rubbish well so far the miter gauge not either and price is to expensive for the quality sorry amigo I say hello from London just search between ali Temu and banggod you be surprised the different things you find a good price is a war between them believe me good luck 👌👍
You are the type of person who should not be using tools because you have no idea what you are doing.
Omg, you should not be using any power tools because you have no idea what you are doing.
Why would anyone support TEMU? Don't do it.
