    Metric can refer to linear, area and volume dimensions, but angles are angles.

      Yeah, but that metric time is what confuses me the most.

    SR: The flexible router guide is a new idea to me, looks very useful. And these are great deals on the chisels & router bits. Thanks!

      I had seen someone use a flexible guide but could not find one. It works great to make a wood template and then use the wood template for the finished product. That way, you don't have the screw holes.

    I also got those router bits, and 12" folding shelf brackets. That flexible router template is pretty cool. Temu has some fascinating items for crazy low prices.

      I had cut out a chicken without trimming it first. It only took seconds. Unfortunately, the footage didn't turn out. I have a holder for the chisels on the printer now. I am happy with all the tools this time.

      how long do the router bits stay sharp? can you resharpen them

    • @ST-0311
      @ST-0311 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rayheinrich1504 I don't know how long they will stay sharp, because they're still new. They also won't see regular use, as I don't route 1-1/2" to 2" stock very often.
      They could be resharpened if you take the time to file all the cutting teeth. For under $20 I'd just buy another one.

    Just came from your other Temu video with the juice groove guide, and I was also considering that set of chisels as a beater set. Many of the cheap harbor freight, amazon, and Temu sets seem to be clones of one another with similar CRV steel, poor finishing requiring some more tuning, and probably cheap handles. A 12 piece set of decent steel beater chisels in that many sizes sounds like a good deal still. It’s not like most of the “American” tool companies don’t use the same Chinese and Indian factories with brand badges swapped out anyway. Outside of the premium stuff, the others are a gamble for edge retention and how good the heat treat was done.
    Thanks for posting

      It took a good bit to get them tuned. After I got them flat and sharp, they kept a sharp edge.

      Did you see the guide sitting on the table made from hickory and paduak. It works great to get the same angle on all the chisels.

    Good review. Very honest. There is one guy with a big channel saying TEMU is nothing but a scam. I have not found that to be true. Are they collecting your data and reselling it? Probably. But, what site does not do that. I just would not use their app. They have been the company they are associated with was sued for illegal practices for putting bugs in people's computers.

    • @ShopRamblings
      @ShopRamblings  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have seen news brodcast saying things about TEMU. I have read many articles. I watched Congress talk about them. None of the reports I saw stated a single case that had happened of what they were saying could be happening. TEMU is part of a multi-billion dollar a year company. They are not trying to steal someone's CC number or information. They are a company from a communist country. Their government can come and seize whatever they want. However I don't think they would be stupid enough, or their would be enough benefit to lose all the money people are spending on the site.

      I tried getting a metric clock, but I needed an abacus to figure out what time it said.

    Do you think two sided tape would work for the router guide

    • @ShopRamblings
      @ShopRamblings  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It would depend on the tape. It could work.

    • @ShopRamblings
      @ShopRamblings  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      How long any router bit stays sharp depends on how and what you use it one. I have several Freud bits. They cost me $12 to have sharpened. I can buy most bits here for under $5. Don't see the need for sharpening. So far, I haven't noticed any get dull faster than my other bits. I do use formula 2050 and keep them clean. What causes bits to get dull is if they overheat. Be sure to keep them clean and they should last.

    The software says that I AM NOT A NEW USER ANDNOT ELIGIBLE FOR A COUPON. Never ordered from them before and had TO REGISTER AS A NEW USER! What do you recommend? Your great video encouraged me to place and order buying many of the things that you have purchased.

      I am not sure why this has happened. I would Google Temu Coupon. That is how I got my first one.
      If that doesn't work, put what you want in your cart. Then wait a couple of days. Every time I leave something in my cart, they send me coupons or drop the price to try to get me to buy.

    I wouldnt say they are counterfeits. They are all made in china and sent to different companies to put their own logo or stamp on it.

    • @ShopRamblings

      Agreed, as long as they are not trying to put a brand name on the tool I don't consider them a counterfeit.

    • @ShopRamblings
      @ShopRamblings  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      They do have some cheap stuff, but they also have some good stuff. These chisels had to be flattened and sharpened. After that they have kept their edge even with a lot of use. A great value in my opinion.
