Your videos are always exactly to the point with essential background information that one may require to understand the concept of the video. Your efforts are highly appreciated. This video greatly helped me with the concept I wanted to understand and it is very clearly and simply explained. Thank you!
Sir your content was amazing, please slow down the animations a bit as it will be easier to comprehend especially for those who are learning this complex for the first time...
Dehydrogenation means removal of H+ ions which means oxidation. Pyruvate dehydrogenase is an enzyme responsible for converting pyruvate to hydroxyethyl TPP by removal of a carbon group from Pyruvate (decarboxylation). Decarboxylation of pyruvate is the initial step, which leads to the formation of hydroxyethyl TPP.
What is the difference between pyruvate and pyruvic acid ? Can I call citric acid and tartaric acid as citrate and tartarate respectively in the same way ? Please do reply 🙏 sir.

Is pyruvate dehydrogenation is same as that of oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate ?
