    You didnt explain well the part ketolysis. What happens when ketones gets to the brain and turns into acetly koa at brain again. What does it trigger or what is the purpose of that system/cycle?

    It is as always excellently explained... I don't usually comment but when it comes to Dr. Mike's videos I end up feeling the urge to write thousands of comments to thank him enough... The great thing about it is drawing a final and a comprehensive picture of the entire body not just explaining pieces of it... thanks a lot Dr. Mike

    Matt and Mike are the ones who truly understand how the body works from a biochemical engineering perspective. Sorry to say most gurus out there are just cutting and pasting stuff without understanding how everything is tied together.

    So glad I found your videos=I can now use these for my grandchildren (homeschooling) autistic/sensory processing disorder= and visual learners, so they can understand this-because with only verbal teachings, a lot gets lost in translation-literally. Thank you so much

    I still wonder how you make anatomy and physiology look like a simple course , the way you break it down and your drawings helps me , I picture it and when I get into the exam hall that’s the first thing I draw so as to make it easier

    this saved my life. i was struggling with biochemistry because professors showed all this processes separately and i had no idea how to connect them with eachother, but now, when i have this like, frame, it all starts to make sense! thanks a lot

    I have never studied any chemistry and only the O'level basis of Biology, and I understood 90% of what you have just said. Absolutely fantastic teaching skills. I only came here because a module at work skims over metabolism. So glad I did find this talk. Liked and sub'd.

    very nice explanation.. i have a followup question.. may i know the side effects/disadvantages of gluconeogenesis over glucogenesis , i would assume glucogenseis is a normal pathway and could have lesser disadvantages/sideffects
