Doc, happy new year! Just to let you know how valued your great videos are! I've been quite upset for a number of years because after thyroidectomy 4 years ago, my metabolism tanked, and it's impossible to shift an OUNCE... I am quite an active person, track calories for a calorie deficit, but gained 10 lbs. that will NOT budge. Before, I'd eat cake for dinner and lose weight, so I know it's not the simple 'eat less move more' mantra proffered by the endocrinologist... More so because my cholesterol has also shot up during this time, despite the cleaner diet. I am convinced it's something to do at the cellular level (can cell receptors differentiate between native thyroid hormone and levothyroxine, maybe??) and am here trying to unravel this mystery - so really appreciate all the knowledge you impart to the world!

Great video Doc. Do you think the Elephant in the room,is causing Cancers at stage 3/4 on presenting. And a lot of early Deaths? Thank-you.
"tender freaking love N care" is a good mnemonic for pdh's coenzyme.
You gave us the butter of medicine in your explanation : زبده العلم
I literally have biochem viva tmr and this popped up 🫵🫂 love the pdh complex ✊
Well done, and a great explanation of PDH. Do all kinase enzymes require Mg?
I think so because they all use ATP and Mg's positive charge is used to stabilize the negative charge build up.
@@peybak@peybak That's what I was thinking about regarding kinase and Mg=ATP. Thank you!!!
