All great tips. I'll stick the hand warmers in a zip lock bag if I don't need them anymore. Cutting off the oxygen makes it last longer.
Always a good preservation move. I should have mentioned that!
I love my winter camping! Thanks for the great video and some great tips!
Appreciate you Don!
Yep. It’s that time to get out there in the cold! Some of my best trips have been in the winter.✌️
It's my least favorite season but I've grown to love it too!
Good tips there Mr. Buckley. Stay cozy out there.
You stay cozy, Mr Pelton. Miss you brother!
I don't go out very often in this time of year. Especially the long dark evenings or not so much fun. Also here you're not allowed a campfire most of the times!
Most tips I do know already, but always good to line them up! 😊
Have a great day! Kaat
The darkness is the WORST part for me too!
Great video and I did catch some new ideas. Like the dehydrated meal hack
Thanks Tressa! It keeps you warm for a bit!
"Slip inside my sleeping bag!" ZZTop Tips 🧔👍
Hahaha! Good call.
I’m planning a 5 day trip in February, so this is good info!
Awesome! Hope you have a grand adventure. Where are you heading?
@@BackpackingwithBuckley North central Florida, but I sleep COLD, so this is helpful.
When the going gets cold, the hikers get bold. Hoping to see some frigid Badland adventures soon!
I scouted a place or two that might work. Hoping for some scenic snowfall soon!
I've done the backyard winter camp test run, this Winter I'm going to do it for real. I want to try that Nalgene Hot Water Bottle trick.
It's a classic hack! Thanks Daniel!
Yeah, absolutely put the higher R value pad against your hot little body instead of 3 inches away. Common sense.
Take a small kerosene lamp on short winter hikes, too. It's nice when your light source produces heat as well.
Ditch the Nalgene bottle and carry a Klean Kanteen stainless bottle and boil water right next to the fire. Wait a minute, put it into a foam cozy, and use it as a hot water bottle at night and cook breakfast more quickly next morning. The 40 fl.oz. is the size I carry. Did an overnight on the Appalachian Trail two nights ago. Temperature got down to 19 degrees. Stayed warm in my hammock.
Glad to hear you got out on the AT, bud! All great points. Thanks for the good suggestions.
Great video man. I agree with you on the sleeping pad hack. Top is way warmer than bottom. We will have to meet up this winter and do a hot tent trip. It was good seeing you last week.
Good to see you too, Adam. Hope you had a relaxing trip.
great tips sir!
Thanks Mr. Pennsylvania!
Funny, i was texting you about winter trips earlier today. Lol. Then I stumble upon this video. Crazy!
Recycled material bud. Lol. Miss your face!
I miss you too, brother! 😔
Aya el clima es un caso

Or there's my simple trick.. Stay home like a wuss 🤣🤣

You gotta try it sometime Mark!

Another funny and engaging video as ever Tim😂👌. And actually some great tips in there👍🏕. The hand warmers in the sleeping bag are a life saver 🙌
Thanks Shell and Pete!
