Cool (or should we say hot 🤔🤣) set up Tim!🤩. Although the customer service on those 'pair' of poles sounds pretty awful 😖. We really love the idea of hot tenting, but for us in the UK it is a lot more difficult as our campsites don't allow us to use them because of insurance issues (just in case we set our tents on fire!🤣🙈). Anyway great honest review, we will look forward to seeing you use this this winter😊👌

There are ways to go budget and build up. I used a Mr Buddy heater in an old Coleman tent I had. I just cut the floor out of it. Keep me posted if you get out and try it!

My first experience with a Hot Tent was with a buddy at a Big Paintball Game in Wisconsin. He wanted to test out his Canvas pole tent with the stove, he had a trip planned for Montana and wanted to be ready. It was pretty cool having that stove heating the tent at night we slept pretty comfortably. Thanks for sharing another excellent video, I always learn someone new and have a few laughs while watching.
It's a Superior Gear Hammock. They are spendy but the underquilt is integrated. I'm telling you.....for me, I would never purchase another hammock from another company. These are hands down, the BEST for me!!
I have a regular hot tent but you are making me want the one for the hammock. I’m going to check it out. From your experience would you be able to fit two hammocks in with a spreader bar (at the head end and away from the stove) without setting one of the occupants on fire and going out on a blaze of glory? My niece is now onto hammocks and she loves my hot tent so figured I’d look into merging them together. Great video! 👍

@@backpackingadventures4813 it is huge. Nearly too much space for my little stove! 2 cots fit well and 3 people could fit easily if you skip cots and go to the ground.
Great video. And the practicality even for non hammockers looks promising. Just hang a ridge line. Used as a tent, hang out area for large groups, etc.
It does really well in high winds. The shock chord guy lines allow flex. I use deck screws instead of regular tent stakes to really make sure it's secure.
@@BackpackingwithBuckley I just saw a video from another youtuber who have done a high wind/snow condition test and yes this tent does good enough but I wouldn't say it is safe when using a hot stove in those conditions. I also made a comment to that video but I think it would be must better if we can pass through a guideline straight through under this tent, I think that will improve with windy condition strength. I feel like a DIY internal A-frame would be great for this tent as well... basically clone the type of A-frame SnowTrekker hot tents use. Also, the youtuber who was in bed with OneTigris and also collaborated in designing this hot tent jumped shipped to be in with Pomoly bed have collaborated in a similar design hammock hot tent but using a canavas as well. By the way, I absolute love my Superior Gear Hammock. I think it was your video that made me purchase it. (Duty/Custom fee into Canada was NOT fun at all).

Another thing I meant to inquire about us what is this particular tent like when dealing with heat retention? I own this tent along with a hammock and stove. I got it in case of disaster striking. In other words an shtf situation arising. Sure would like to know ahead of time what I'm getting myself into should the need arise.
I see there's a chance of snow Sat into Sunday this weekend. I'm tempted to go to Livermore. Will probably depend on how hard it's raining on Saturday.

I noticed in the intro there were two tents. Is the larger one the tegimen? I just bought the tegimen and haven't even set it up yet. Just trying to get an idea of the size difference.

Nice review, Tim. I considered this one but wasn't sure about the material and repair factor with flying embers. We'll see how I like my Pomoly when I get it / use it. I do like the footprint of the Onetigris though. I'm not sure I'll be able to get a cot in the Pomoly if I wanted to have that as an option. We will see.
SUGGESTION: Put the stove in the center and add a couple more stove pipe sections, and a couple "L" joints, to zig-zag the pipe to the offset hole in the roof. I'm sure you'd need something to prop up the pipe, tho. Could probably make it out of some stiff wiring.
stove at an end is good if youre sleeping multiple ppl with cots or such. if it was in the middle it would mean that no one could lay on that side of the tent unless at angle.
That's a good point! I usually hammock in this tent solo though so in my case it would be better towards the middle to distribute the hear better to both ends.
@Backpacking with Buckley ya it is marketed mainly has a hammock tent so agree it would be better but think they did it like they did for other use cases

The screws are a game changer for ice or frozen ground. I usually use 8 stakes I think for the Luxe? We will figure it out on our Turkey day shakedown.

It is not insulated so it requires a constant heat source (fire) to stay warm. However, it does retain heat very well when the fire is going.

In the intro was my Rocdomus and a HUGE diy tent that my friend Miyagi made. The tegimen seems nice too but heavier.

The Pomoly is certainly more insulation and better quality overall. I agree though, this tent is a great size!

shame they screwed you over on something so easily fixed, not to mention they have not changed the "typo".
It's why I go for cottage companies when possible. OneTigris doesn't give much of a shit about customers it seems. Luxe doesn't either.
