I'm far too cheap to buy the stuff from camping shops unless I really have to! 😁 Like the look of the dried fruit, and the peanut butter bars👍 Will keep an eye out for them in Aldi over here in the UK. Season's greetings to you👍😊
If you are using the dried fruit to kick up your oatmeal I found the Freeze Dried reconstitutes more like the real McCoy. The Dehydrated ones tend to reconstitute more on the mushy side , like the ones in a pie ( soft ). The freeze dried are crispy like from a tree. I have a grand time in grocery stores mixing and matching things for Freezer Bag Meals. Want to protect those cookies from being crushed ? Use an old Pringles Potato chip container. Hydrox Cookies , Yep remembering them. We have 2 ALDL'S a huge ALDI down the road and a smaller one in town.

I recently started shopping at aldi just for regular shopping and was surprised when I bought some frozen mexi cali chicken patties that are uncooked. Looked at the ingredients and it was Chicken, bell pepper, red pepper, colby jack Cheese and I think one other normal ingredient. Great option to get away from all the harsh additives. They are trying to actually sell organic and just normal food there. Lot of people don’t know that Trader Joes is owned by Aldi as well.
I like to take one half of a box of Stove Top stuffing and one half of a package of mashed potatoes and put that in a zip lock bag. At camp I will rehydrate the zip lock bag with 2 cup boiling water and 1 packet of mayo, if you add some turkey jerky you have got instant Thanksgiving dinner.
