Hi, you can use melted chocolate, it sets quickly, royal icing is also an option. You can also use a craft wire and twist it around the end of the lace and then attach to the cake.

For some reason, the mixture is sticking to the pan. I’m not sure wha t I’m doing wrong.
It has to be non-stick pan, that is very important. Like the one for pancakes. Hope this helps

Storage?
I store the wafer paper lace between two sheets of baking paper and place it a map. Just like you store wafer paper. Away from moisture.
