    thanks. i had this exact model so it was nice that this was the first video i found. was selling my nexgrill because i just got a new one and figured it would sell a lot easier if it were working 100%. more than worth it at $8

      No problem. That bumps the price up $20.

    Thank you very much. I was just gifted a used one of these grills and I was going nuts trying to the pull a box apart underneath which is where my old Weber battery went.

    This video gave me the confidence to replace my igniter - VIOLA! And fyi, I purchased the 6 outlet igniter kit but only had five wires. Still works and, like jaykay18 says, it didn't matter which outlet I put the wires into. Just in time for BBQ thanksgiving turkey - THANKS!

    That worked out nicely! I've been pleased with the electronic igniter in my grill, so far.

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My first grill had one. When it worked, I rather enjoyed it. Second grill did not, it was a piezo clicker. That worked most times. The electronic ignition makes it more of a "gas stove" experience,
      I will say that the igniter on the first grill, also electronic, died in the same fashion with water inside.

    • @dynatrak
      @dynatrak 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jaykay18 Now that I've had both, the electronic seems to be better for me. Since my grill is under the patio structure, it really doesn't get wet, except for the base, and it's getting quite weight reduced.

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dynatrak I have a plan for the "cap" of the igniter, to help seal out moisture. I doubt it will work, as I really think these things are just designed to fail, but it's worth a shot.

    Yay china said you may eat, love that kine. Still got to replace that cracked burner on mine. Had a touch of spring. 60s and one 70 degree day this week then back to the 40s for like 2 weeks.

      @jaykay18  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've dealt with plenty of cracked burners over the years, my original Kenmore was famous for that.
      We hit almost 70 degrees yesterday, now it's back in the 50s to around 60. So a little taste of what we might see by June...

    I replaced the burners, bars, and grilles using another video... that guy left it in place! I found that removing and replacing the sparker made the whole job a lot easier, no crawling around underneath. Another thing... if your bars, burners, and grills are decrepit it could be shorting out your sparker... I was down to two burners when it quit self-lighting... had to use a propane torch to light the last couple of meals. When I rebuilt the entire thing the sparker turned out to be fine.

    The backyard looks like the signs of spring. Was the barbecue igniter a problem last year or did it happen over the winter? I feel like you mentioned it last year but can’t remember what video.

    • @jaykay18

      Yes, it's starting. Couple things have started growing, but we're still in the very early stages yet.
      The igniter failed sometime over the summer last year, I did mention it in this video: th-cam.com/video/Biba_25_hvU/w-d-xo.html

    Hi Jay, I need Nexgrill gas distribution connectors in between my burners but can’t find them online. My Nexgrill’s an older but goody; 720-0419.
    Got any clues or pointers?

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really sure exactly what part you're looking for. Are you looking for "carryover" tubes that channel the gas from one burner that's not lit to one that is, so it can light up? My grill has an electric sparker on each burner to light, instead of using carryover tubes. Sorry, just having a hard time understanding exactly what part you need. Perhaps if you can describe it I can try and figure it out.

    When New, the battery is wrapped in plastic, take the plastic Off! Then if the battery is good it should ignite,,, press the igniter --no sound of tic tic tic, ?? battery is probably not good. To remove the battery hand turn the igniter button off.

      That was all explained in full detail in the video, which went on to upper learning of how to replace a failed one. Try watching the video, it's amazing what might be in it.
