Man I thought the whole time through the video, you going to do something about that rotted out pan. But I watched till the end and you took care of it. Excellent video. You earned that like!

If you take the cap off the battery holder, that assembly will lower out of the tray and makes the wire replacement much easier. Great video. New grill for $35. Basically only the first two burners were bad but the replacement kit was for four burners. Of course no instructions with the kit which is why TH-cam exists.

I know this video is a bit old, but for future reference by anybody reading this, line-up your grill box with aluminum foil and replace the aluminum foil every year or two. I have been doing that for a while now which has extended the life of my grills considerably. The grill in the video unfortunately went way too long without any maintenance considering the large hole in the grill box/bottom/grease pan. I am a Char-Broil customer, and I get most of my parts directly from them, and all grill brands offer the same, so that you can get original parts.

I can’t thank you enough for this! I’ve ordered all the replacement parts, so now I can do this with confidence! I LOVE TH-cam!!

AWESOME video! This is exactly what I was looking for!!! Thank you! Thank you for actually showing what you were talking about! I paid considerably more for the parts, but then mine has six burners, and I also ordered the grates. I'm kind of excited to go get 'er done!

Was yours as easy as this with the starter lines? I looked today at mine and it seems they all feed in through a pipe instead of being just held on by zip ties. Also, my screws are too rusted to unscrew if I just wanted to replace the distributors and leave the lines. Any tips on getting the screws to come out when the grooves are worn out?

I have that grill. Its been sitting outside uncovered in massachusetts all year since 2019. No rust yet but the ignightor box broke so i use a trigger lighter and the regulator hose broke and those are a cheap and easy replacement. My only beef is it doesnt drain grease well so it needs constant cleaning to prevent grease fires (you can see its flat around the drain hole where grease and crud builds up making a little dam.) How is yours with the aftermarket grease pan?

Looks like there's no drain... my little catch pan rusted out years ago... the grease burns away anyway.

Yes! Steak tonight! Yours is actually way more gone than mine. I bought the stainless kit, we'll see how it works. Looks like my drip pan is just a little better... I'll dump it and put it back in.

I had to assemble my burners... bolted the ignitors on, just like original. Wiring the sparker is much easier if you cut the cable ties and remove the box from the panel... just unscrew the button, take out the battery, and unscrew the big plastic nut. Also, if you leave the back one in, you don't have to put it back... it's the side burner. My kit was a little more expensive, I got new grills with ceramic coating. Thanks for posting... liked and subbed!

I am trying to separate the grill from the bottom part and having problems doing it. I want to recycle it and do one of those fancy stone ones but not sure how to disassemble.

Were you able to attach the oil catch tray? I see no provision for that, looks like the grease would just land on your propane tank?

I did, I forgot to include that part in the video. It just slides right into a slot at the bottom.

The drip pan has a simple bent wire cradle that holds a 4”sq x 1-1/2” cup accessible from the front.
