Yet, another reason to love Harbor Freight! Been "impatiently" waiting for these to come out. Thank you for the heads up and demos. Your channel is great and always appreciated.
Theyve been showing these new ads at SEMA for 2 years i think so Im happy they are finally here. And yeah they had to clear out the old stock for. the new stuff!
I seen those the other day when I was looking around. I don’t trust them to last long at all. I get Rupes pads from work and I don’t think they last very long either. For 3” I always start with the 3M white pad then Rupes yellow and white if it’s a black car. 5” I start with Rupes blue wool then continue with yellow and then white if needed.
Thanks, Josh! I'm glad to see you review the Grant's Pads. It is always nice if you are in a pinch and you need pads now, there is someplace to get some without having to wait on pads that were ordered.
I love Harbor Freight I get all my detail cleaning stuff I get 12in x12in 12 pack for 2 .74 only when on sale . I will try the new pads soon thank you and love your TH-cam channel
Thank you for explaining the steps. I've been doing my own cars but haven;t achieved the high shine you have, Now I'll use these products and try again. Thanks.
The good thing is you can grab the Grants when ever you need. i have never used Harbor Freight pads but i will check out the 3 inch pads and go from there. Thanks Josh, you are always on top of things, a true asset to the community 💪💪💪
Josh, thanks for the review and being my harbor freight detailing update source. Your channel keeps me in the loop on all new detailing products and I’ve grown to trust your honest opinion. Looking forward to testing these out with my Milwaukee DA polisher. Thanks for the help.
Thanks Josh, will keep a lookout for these at HF. I’ve been noticing the display at my local store has been empty of the pads…which explains the new release.
I really need a polisher . Never had one before . Love your channel. I actually started my own TH-cam channel on card detail because of you. I'm new to all this but I've always loved washing my car . Something about washing a car that's calming.
Just started my detailing business this year and watch your videos to get tips and ideas. I use Rupes polishing pads and it’s good to know that if I’m in a pinch I can go to Harbor Freight up the road from me and grab their pads. Thanks
Been looking into fixing up the paint on my vehicles. I definitely want to do them myself, been watching a ton of videos just trying to take in and absorb as MUCH as possible, from all sorts of channels. I feel like I could do a pretty good job after watching all those videos, but we’ll see how much of that actually translates to me doing it for the first time in the coming months.
My local HF in Florida does not have stock yet and didn't know, or wouldn't tell me, why the clearance all the Bauer pads out. I thought maybe they were just getting out of that line of product.. Good to know they are rebranding and restocking. As always a great video! Thanks Josh.
I was worried because I used the ‘discontinued’ Bauer pads a lot, they seemed to work and were a good price. Josh as usual, thanks for bringing us good info!
Harbor freight is stepping up their game! I love how car detailing is really picking up. Make it easier to get supplies locally. That M3 maxhine polisher looks rad, I am a fan of their M15 DA
That polisher looks sweet. Thanks for the review of the pads. Always interested in how the cheaper HF stuff compares to other companies. Being able to pick their stuff up in store without paying for shipping adds to the savings and convenience.
These look like a great pad..especially if you're able to get them with a coupon they run often. So appreciate your reviews and honest approach to detailing!!
Finally !!! This was desperately needed. If I need to run and buy a pad I was stuck with 6 inch only griots at auto zone. Now choices and sizes! Let’s Go.
I'm excited to try these pads out, even if they were the same price as the other name brands, there are two Harbor Freight stores within 5 miles of my house. Instead of ordering a minimum amount to help with shipping I can pick up a couple of pads and not have to wait for a couple of weeks for pads that you may not really like. Your channel is at the top of my list on honest reviews, keep it up. P.S. just don't come up with your own line of products to review.
Would love to have that polisher. Dude thank you for showing us all these products. You show us products we may not have been interested in. Love the honesty.
Great review!! have been switching between the old HF pads and the Rupes pads for some time. I did buy a ton of the old clearance ones. I am going in this morning to pick up some of the new ones. Thanks for taking the time to do this review.
Hi, I like your true and honest opinions about the products that you used and are using on vehicles. It is very informative. Keep up the good work thank you.
They make It nice that there’s a local place to buy this stuff and it’s not super expensive. Thanks for these great videos, you really help me weed through all the junk!
I just recently tried the Rupes pads for the first time and really seemed to do a good job. If the Grants are similar, then great. Always nice to have options you can just walk in and grab off the shelf. With the amount of sales events that HF has, these could be a really good value option. I've got an old pickup I am going to paint correct here in the near future and thinking I'll use the Grant pads on it.
Awesome review/comparison, nice thing about HR is it makes it very convenient to just run out and grab these pads if you need them. Plus when you get a coupon, then it becomes a GREAT-DEAL👌🏼
Awesome comparison of pads.all the info you share has helped me upped my detailing game.even tho i don’t do it professionally anymore.thank you for all you contribute to the detailing industry.👍👊
I never used a polisher before [and I still haven't], but I bought the cheaper 6" Bauer DA polisher back when it was on sale for $40 on a whim. Then I saw that the Bauer foam pads were on clearance for $5 but I was only able to get 1 course pad and there were no other 6" pads in the store. I haven't had a chance to use the Bauer yet because I don't quite understand all the different polishes and pads and what I should buy. So far all I have is the Bauer DA, Bauer course pad, and Meguire's Ultimate Compound G17216 [not sure why I bought]. Not sure which type of pad I should use with the G17216. I checked and the Grant's pads are not available just yet at my HF. Anyways, just this one video has helped me so much, thanks. I subscribed.
went and got mine today..that blue pad is pretty aggressive feeling...had to beg my local manager to pull them from the back as they were not on the floor yet...now if I only had a reason to go buy 3" inch pads..
Checked my local HF and lucked out. Was able to get the 5in pads no problem. Just like Costco had to grab a few extras while I was there 😅 thanks for all u do Josh for us weekend warriors 🎉
Wished HF sold a 3 inch polisher. I can use it to polish the door section that's kinda hard to get to. Thanks for the giveaway, Josh. Mighty nice of you
This video couldn't come out at a better time. DIYer doing my 1st full paint correction next week.
Congrats you are the winner! send me an email to joshv@dtlrsupply.com with your shipping address and Ill get it out to you!!
I’m loving the direction HARBOR FREIGHT is heading as far as AUTO DETAILING! Love that store!!!
Being able to go grab these from a physical store is going to be a benefit for some people. Thanks for the videos!
Big facts. That and their grants towels. Makes it a no brainer sometimes
That’s probably the only reason one would buy them. I just can’t understand the pricing logic. They’re out of their minds.
Yet, another reason to love Harbor Freight! Been "impatiently" waiting for these to come out. Thank you for the heads up and demos. Your channel is great and always appreciated.
thats why they clearanced out the old pads that makes sense now
Was about to say the same thing. But they didn't have these new ones in stock yet so I had to pay for the overpriced ones in AutoZone.
Theyve been showing these new ads at SEMA for 2 years i think so Im happy they are finally here. And yeah they had to clear out the old stock for. the new stuff!
Merry Christmas to all.
@@edfigWhy would you have to buy AutoZone pads?
I seen those the other day when I was looking around. I don’t trust them to last long at all. I get Rupes pads from work and I don’t think they last very long either. For 3” I always start with the 3M white pad then Rupes yellow and white if it’s a black car. 5” I start with Rupes blue wool then continue with yellow and then white if needed.
Love these hands on reviews of new products. You always keep them 100% honest!
Thanks, Josh! I'm glad to see you review the Grant's Pads. It is always nice if you are in a pinch and you need pads now, there is someplace to get some without having to wait on pads that were ordered.

Josh, thanks for the review and being my harbor freight detailing update source. Your channel keeps me in the loop on all new detailing products and I’ve grown to trust your honest opinion. Looking forward to testing these out with my Milwaukee DA polisher. Thanks for the help.
You, Pan and Forensic are my go to creators for anything detailing! Thanks for all your great info
Always good to have additional options. Nothing worse then waiting 1-2 days for a pad in the middle of a job.
Thanks for the review. Nice to know that quality items are available down the road and not have to wait for items to be shipped.
I love having good detailing products easily available in a retail location. I would love this 3in
Thanks Josh, will keep a lookout for these at HF.
The reviews you do have saved me a bunch of money not buying a product that you tested that I was gonna purchase.
Thanks
Matt
Thank you for your dedication to testing and comparing these products!
Thanks, Josh! Best detail channel on YT. Shared this vid with a buddy that was looking for pads so great timing!
I haven't been to HF in years. Lots of new things! Thanks Josh!

Great review! Glad to hear that the new Grant's pads performed so well. Definitely gonna consider these the next time I buy pads.
You have taken my Detail to a next level! Thanks for what you do!

That makes sense I m glad I hope they update their microfiber cloths too from grant.
I like how well you explain each item. I'm new to detailing.

Love these videos and happy to see HF expand on these pads. I was lucky enough to get some of the older ones on clearance.
