Always satisfying to see neglected paint get the care it needs. I would never let my paint get to anywhere near this state, but there's no shortage of other cars that are. Good video!
Just found this channel a few days ago. Have been binge watching all day everyday when I can lol. Instant sun for me. Great great useful information and reviews.
Josh been watching lots of your videos got a 2004 ram pickup I beat around in been testing a lot of the ways you do on these videos the old truck is coming back to life when done hopefully the wife lets me tackle her 2021 ford explore she loves them automatic car wash’s lol
Great video Josh! I have a 2018 Murano that has never gone through this process. It's garage-stored, so the paint is in much better shape. Some work needed on the B & C pillars. I've got product & equipment to carry this out and having my son do the work. He'll clay towel it and assess. Polish if need be, then Cerakote. I took notes & will have him watch this video. Fingers crossed 😉👍🏻
I like seeing your process! The end result is awesome! An iron remover is great just smells, some of them you can combine with the rag company or diy clay towel. But a fallout remover is different from an iron remover so be mindful of that The claying phase can be tricky, quick detailers normally have some form of protection. If you're looking to coat may want a rinseless wash, but polishing would remove the protection from the qd
Have you seen the new Feynlab DA? I got it a few weeks ago and its really nice. Its called the Feynmach. That came out nice. Theres a lot of fall out there, crazy
Thank you for all the great educational videos been doing it for years and always learn something new. Could you please post where to get the pressure washer fittings you use. Thank you.
Great vid! Exactly what I needed to see before attacking my crappy paint car.. Hopefully it's enough to just use compound/wax combo to get my black car swirls out after all the other wash/decon steps.. Thx Josh! You've "enlightened' me lots, with these great vids you produce..
Hey Josh. Patrick, new follower here. Love your how-to videos!! I wanted to see if you could replenish the paint on my wife’s 2012 Infinity G25. Decontaminate clay, polish. We’re down in the Chula Vista, Eastlake area. Willing to drive to you. Thanks, Josh. Let me know.
Hi Josh, really appreciate your videos, I've been learning a lot between you and Pan's channels. I followed your advice and got Maxshine 15 pro and Mcguire 110/210 compound/polishes, which pads would you suggest I use as a beginner with these, tia
These would be a great way to start: amzn.to/3Pja1ao You can get pretty deep into all the different pads, but these are what i use most of the time. blue is cutting, yellow is polishing, and white is finishing. If im doing a one step enhancement i usually just use the yellow
I take good care of my paint and wash often and detail afterwards. I recently took a clay bar to the paint with a detail spray (Maguires) it’s quite smooth and shiny. What do you suggest for my next step, or product to apply? Thanks, enjoyed the video. Very informative 👍
looks awesome thanks for all the info. Love your stuff. Would you put a wax ontop of all that if so what would you use or that is good enough because it would sit out side in the harsh conditions till it is looked at again.
For a person on a budget, what do you recommend for a foam cannon? I clean my own cars once a week. I know you like the MJJC series. Can you recomend a less pricey one? Mahalo
You probably get asked the same questions over and over, but just once more. What type of pressure washer do you use? and do you use the clients water and or electricity?
About how long would you estimate a full detail like this to take on an average car? And if necessary, how would or could you split it over a couple of days? Great video!
Is there any benefit to using a high ph/alkaline wash in a foam cannon versus a regular ph neutral wash in a foam cannon and just adding an ounce or two of APC? Use of the APC negates the need to have two different washes.
What pressure washer are you using in this video? I’m trying to learn paint correction.. your videos have been super helpful! I need to pick up some of those choch chemi products.. I still don’t have anything in their line
Don't bother with Koch, It's over priced. His earlier videos contained multiple product comparisons and Meguiars Gold Class is still the best value car wash soap that you can use in a foam cannon or even as clay lube. ONR should be in your arsenal too as it's a window cleaner, clay lube, or pretreatment (but not aggressive). Griots Foaming Surface Wash is the best prewash if you don't want to strip already applied wax. Wheel Cleaner: Adams Wheel and Tire. P&S was heavily recommended 1-2 years ago but it is a lot weaker than Adams but it has rust inhibitors in it. If you want to strip wax so you can start pure clean to paint correct, any strip wash will do as long as it's cheaper than Koch. Koch isn't really that special.
You mentioned when you do a ceramic coat you use a ceramic primer polish. Would it work if you used a non primer compound for cutting then use the primer polish to finish before coating?
Hi Josh, I finally got my car detailing/pressure washer setup complete. But one last thing I wanted to know before I use it is, are you using the 40 degree tip to rinse the vehicle? I bought a set but is it safe to use the 25 degree or even 15 degree tip for the car? Thanks in advance!
Hi yea I typically use a 40 but you can use whatever works for you. If your using a 15 it will be slightly more powerful at say 1’ distance vs the 40 just because of the more direct angle but it anything you can just add a little more distance from the car and you’ll be fine
Josh, not sure whether or not I or anyone else ever asked this: can the iron remover be used on a car with decals. I have an 88 IROC that has door and line decals. Should I avoid spraying iron remover on those? I've had the car for 35 years and had it repainted about 11 years ago.
What is the difference between M205 and M210? Because the M210 polish is a little "finer", would it "finish" a little better with more clarity on soft paint? Thnx.
Hey Josh i detailed for a year back in the day never wanted to polish so barely getting into it since its not so intimidating as it used to be but i had a question about the pads why didn’t you spray some sort of conditioner to the pad isn’t that always needed for less heat/friction?
But can you have a more faded paint back or is it really need a good paint job cus i have a really faded Altima hood that there just gray and white nd not the charcoal color the rest if the car is
Do you know why these customers finally came in to have their car detailed? It appears as though after you work on and correct the paint on their car, they will come back in a year or two and expect you to perform your magic again. Huum...
Toyota clear coat & paint work both suck! The clear coat peels easily, and when you take it to the dealership under warranty, they'll fight you on it, they will tell you that it only affects certain white and silver cars, but I've already gone through two different toyota models and had the same problem. I will never again buy a toyota
Great video. I plan to do this sort of thing on my wife's car while she's gone visiting her sister for a month. She'll be surprised.🎉
Who's going to tell him. 😬
Always satisfying to see neglected paint get the care it needs. I would never let my paint get to anywhere near this state, but there's no shortage of other cars that are. Good video!
Agreed!!!🤯
Thanks!!
Josh you are one of the most realistic detailers on the internet. Skip the nonsense and cover what matters.
Just found this channel a few days ago. Have been binge watching all day everyday when I can lol. Instant sun for me. Great great useful information and reviews.
Awesome, thank you!
Definitely brought the paint back to life. You didn't really touch on how much less fade there was afterwards. It made a significant difference.
Ya cutting through the layer of contamination that was diffusing the gloss made a big difference. Thanks for watching!!
Can’t wait to see the DI system you mentioned in a previous video. When is that video coming?
Josh been watching lots of your videos got a 2004 ram pickup I beat around in been testing a lot of the ways you do on these videos the old truck is coming back to life when done hopefully the wife lets me tackle her 2021 ford explore she loves them automatic car wash’s lol
Hey Josh! What wax do you use?
soy de Panamá saludos veo todos tus video y este fue exelente sigue asiendo más contenido como este 💯

thats a good point, I always use a quick detailer with no additives for protection but its a good ideas to clarify that!
Great job as always and what a huge difference. I also liked the little lizard cameo at 22:57 running off to the left. :D
Have you seen the new Feynlab DA? I got it a few weeks ago and its really nice. Its called the Feynmach. That came out nice. Theres a lot of fall out there, crazy

Another great video, Josh!

Excellent video Josh. Appreciate your effort. Very educational. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the very detailed video. You could really see the difference.
Thanks for watching!
I love m210,have many finishing polishes but keep reaching for m210 just works not fussy works on even the most finicky clear
Love this channel….. thanks for sharing your experience
Excellent demonstration, thanks Josh 👍😁
No problem 👍
Awesome comparison. Thank you good sir!

A very good demo video!
Awesome explanation and demonstration Josh, thank you!
Great video. How much would a detail like this cost?

Which brand is the red foam pad used here for waxing?
Would love to see your thoughts or a review of the synthetic fine grade clay towel from DIY Detail compared to the Rag Company one.
How do you DA the uneven parts of the car.
Good info
Thanks
Great work going try it out in my car keep up the great content
Nice job josh big improvement 😊
I would love for you to get a hold of my 2006 Subaru Impreza I hate the color (dark blue) but anyway another great video

Great video always the best information, you are definitely teaching me a lot
Are you ever concerned about scratching when contact washing with iron remover still on the panel?
Neighbors say my 2016 white Venza looks new. 😉 The things I've learned from you Josh. Thank you.
That’s awesome!
you gots the presence and da info!
I always enjoy your videos! I learn so much from your videos - always 5 stars!
Wow, thank you!
looks awesome thanks for all the info. Love your stuff. Would you put a wax ontop of all that if so what would you use or that is good enough because it would sit out side in the harsh conditions till it is looked at again.
Great video was wondering since I also live in SD how can I hire u to service my car?
Great info. Thanks for sharing
Another great video and tutorial

Awesome work man!! Thanks for sharing this!! 🫡📝👍🏾💯
You bet
Always great content Josh. Thank you.
I appreciate that!

For the exterior wash, decon, and polish it took me about 2 hours.
Another great video, thanks for sharing 👍!

Rupes and Festool the best polishers imho
Josh is it okay to use a Rigid 5" 18v orbital palm sander with the proper polishing pads for this sort of task?
wow josh, great video.
You mentioned when you do a ceramic coat you use a ceramic primer polish. Would it work if you used a non primer compound for cutting then use the primer polish to finish before coating?
Very good example 👍

@@imjoshvThanks so much for the reply! The set comes with the 40 as well so I will definitely be using that. Cheers

You can, I usually just prime my pad with polish. I load the pad up a bit more on the first application and make sure it’s got good coverage
I love this channel
What do you do with faded wiper arms?
Aren’t there some much better compounds and polishes than these old Meguiars formulas?
Can i have link for compound 110& polishing 210 link ?
Thank you
Thank you
Great video, great work, and great education! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Is there an iron decon that doesn’t smell so bad?
But can you have a more faded paint back or is it really need a good paint job cus i have a really faded Altima hood that there just gray and white nd not the charcoal color the rest if the car is
Thank you for all the hard work you do Josh! You're #1🖕
Yeah he’s the best🖕

🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👏👏👏👏👏✨✨✨✨✨🔥🔥🔥🔥

He says in the beginning that it's his friend's car. Maybe he is just doing it as example.
Tons of plastic trim stuff.
