Damn! Curve and Ride too?! A Brit-PsychFest in it’s prime, 2 years later and this sound was played out; your lucky for being in the right place, right time!
that's the way it worked. you hooked up with a scene and jammed. even phone calls were all landlines. support your local scene! you do that by being physically present.
Greatest shoegaze band ever. Most beautiful rock'n'roll music ever. Can't wait to see them in November. I'm a lucky bastard. It's going to be a dream-come-true.
Don't stick by irrelevant classification..."Slowdive" is above "Shoegazing", the same about "My Bloody Valentine"... The band reformed after almost 20 years and they are still fucking brilliant. They played in Nîmes some months ago (only 50 kmfrom where I live) and I missed the concert...Such a shame !
I was actually there. I recollect musing while on the train that this was an unusual venue. Oh and Ride played Nowhere. A Good day for shoegazing all round.
Just found this and Wow I didn’t know any footage existed for this. Upton Court Park and difficult to believe it took place now. I missed slowdive as I was having a bevo or two in the Wheatsheaf. Great to see this band having a renaissance. Happy days 😁
Just recently I found the band's videos on you tube, but it as if I knew them for years. I know that this can sound odd, but I can feel the same feelings that I used to feel when I listened to Cranberries in the early 90's. Man, Rachel was so smoking hot.
In Slough!?!?! Who knew there was a Slough Festival once upon a time. I grew up in Staines area in the mid 90s and we had to get on a train to encounter anything like this.
Absolutely smashing video here. It's amazing how many "new' songs are played, yet we now know them as old favorites. Quite jerky but it's audio is great!
There is a book about this music fest called Grass To Gaze...probably tough to find a copy. I saw Rachel looking at a copy on her IG stories. She said she was very drunk that day, sort of apologized hahaha.
I'm 18 and this makes me feel like life is going to be really, really long. because i feel like I've been here for so long already. I'll be as old as this video in 12 years, which is still relatively nothing
I vaguely remember a bootleg recording of a Slowdive gig on TH-cam in which Rachel says in the mic just before singing, " Bop, till you drop." Do you know where it is?

CURVE IS BEAST
Yes, it was a cracking day. Probably the best thing to ever happen in Slough!
It's amazing how this 1991 performance looks like it's from 2000s through a filter. Their looks and fashion are just as timeless as their music.
Seen them all.You are 20.
@@pigglesy I'm 40, young person.
I have the same feeling dude, wtf
the looks and fashion we developed back then proved classics. that's gen x shoegazers for you.
I'm still in love with 1991's Rachel
Rachel is so adorably goofy. It's so cute!
Still the same way 20 years later. We should all try to be more like her in our lives :)
She's having a moment during Morningrise for sure : )
One of many bands like this in the early 90s. I remember. We were spoilt when word of mouth was the way

I was actually there. I recollect musing while on the train that this was an unusual venue. Oh and Ride played Nowhere. A Good day for shoegazing all round.
+john morley While you were musing on Slough did you call to mind John Betjemans poem about the place .
Would have been amazing to see them back in 1991

He never did when they made most of their albums. I only recently saw that they still perform and I didn't recognise him
What a perfect tracklist!

Amazing!
I wish Neil would play Rickenbackers again. His tone was far superior on these vintage concerts and the original records.
¡ADORO!
Hello, I Love this band and Rachel GOSWELL, in 2014 to Paris after the show, I took a selfie with her, and the band, thanks, bye.
David Brent was probably there.
And his band Forgone Conclusion

Amy Pan They were great, saw the in chicago at the metro, maybo 80 people were there. Life changer for sure.
shes wearing a very nice dress
What the hell were those 2 kids doing onstage 5 seconds from the end, do their parents want them to have hearing loss?
no comment.
I don't see Christian in this video, was he actually playing that gig?
Hell yeah! He looks so different now but yes, you can see him playing lefty and chewing gum.
22:13 lol
playing guitars without making it sound like you're playing guitars.
Stay off the drugs kids lol
I think the camarographer was in love of Rachel
Right? It's not hard to show the rest of the band more than 10% of the set
not enough cameragraphy of Rachel! Never enough
And Christian must have slept with his wife for how little the camera finds him...
Slough Festival?
