Nancy Sinatra would be proud of Slowdive's version of "Some Velvet Morning" Great cover, they really added so much to that classic song. Its a B-side form the Souvlaki sessions.
Eno at the start is so perfect
It made me really happy when i recognized it.
You can also hear it in the beginning of their 93 set in Oslo when they have to take a quick tech break.

OMG. So brilliant to see Slowdive back and sounding so good too. I remember first deeing them on Snub tv back in 1990 doing Morningrise. Just wonderful .
I remember that well. It was the promo video for Morningrise. I recorded it on to my VHS recorder and watched this video seemingly hundreds of times. Always looked amazing when watching it at night with the lights turned off! Easily my favourite music video of all time. An absolutely amazing fusion of music and visuals.
Yeah, they were so tight + Very Loud. The Detroit show I just witnessed was even better than the early nineties show's I saw in my youth? I was so Blown Away. SLOWDIVE 4ever

I have read they will do an album. I think this tour will fund it. I hope they make some cash. I have already bought a few shirts and am seeing them three times in three US cities. If I had the cash, I'd donate the money! I worry they won't do well in the US as this type of music, frankly is too good for the scene here. I dream of Radiohead taking them out on their next tour, there would be no Radiohead or Verve for that matter if not for Slowdive, "a very influential band" as Brian Eno once said of them.
All I read was blah blah blah I chub for slowdive. The album just dropped and the US loves it.
Why on earth is everyone hoping they'll add a NYC date?? Not to be harsh to all you New Yorkers, but you usually get the big acts... It's about damn time Slowdive played in someplace like Colorado instead ^_^ Don't forget all us fans who don't live in big cities =) Looks like this is their last tour too, damn...

TheRedFall They will likely do a bigger tour after the new record comes out. I assume they are doing this tour to fund the album. To think this was the first gig in 20 years is mind blowing. They sounded amazing. Just unbelievably tight. Love the upbeat version of Crazy for You....
verve92 Yeah, in a recent interview they claimed this will be their last tour and after making the final album they're done. Of course, if this tour and album goes well I'll keep my fingers crossed that this isn't the case and they DO come to Colorado next year! Fingers crossed!!
