Yes, it should work as long as it is not surrounded by metal. Metal blocks GPS signal, besides that as long as you are below 10, 000 feet you should be fine.
The reason why you have to have the tracker below 10,000 feet is because they’re nit based of satellites like you know them. I will say the Tracki is a great product
@@ModdskiSkimodd remembering that metal can block GPS. The best spot to put it would be somewhere that the device is only blocked by metal on one side. Keep it away from nooks where it would be covered by metal on multiple sides.
This Device uses three ways to find its location: 1st - GPS, This is the most accurate way it has to find its location. 2nd - WiFi, if the device for some reason (ie. deep inside building, in parking struture) cannot find the GPS satellites it will search for the addresses of nearby Wifi. The device then sends these to our server to triangulate a location off of these signals. 3rd - GSM, if the device is not able to find GPS and cannot locate any Wifi in the area. The device will then begin detecting nearby cell towers to identify its location. If you are meaning the device does not communicate and transmit data through satellites, this is correct, it uses GSM data to do this. As far as getting location this device does use GPS satellites as its main means of obtaining its location.
