I have heard the batteries constantly need to be charged. A real pain in the butt if you are going to be away for a longer period of time.

Does it keep track of history so when it's back in range, you know where it's been?
I don't know how that track device would work inside your toolbox, it's shielded from all outside / inside signals fairly well when that lid is closed, it's a "Faraday Cage".

Ummmm ppl use maps & Waze inside their vehicles daily. So this is no different.
Best trailer GPS tracker. Kids GPS tracker watch. Cheap to buy and cheap service. You may not get all the bells and whistles as that one, but then again...all you need is to know where your trailer is at.

Does the actual tracki device make any sounds at all? (Beeping, etc). Also does it show up on a list of wifi when scanning the wifi in the area?

Josh, can you track multiple items (trailers) from one account with the tracki device? Or will you have to pay for each tracking device and have a service fee for each device?
Yes, you have to pay for each device and then a monthly fee for each as they take up cell service to communicate to the satellite. One account, as many devices as you want but you have to pay for each.

Just over $16 a monthly fee adds up over time. I'm shocked the tracker works being inside a steel box like that.
If only you could hardwire Milwaukee TICK BTM-1. If anyone with the app installed gets within 30 feet of it, it will track it and send you a notice.
A stolen trailer really adds up too.
It's not for cheapskates, it's for those wishing to keep track of their tools, toys whatever. It's insurance not a fee per say. I'll admit, I'm too cheap.

60-second question: In your experience so far, what is the average weight for a typical haul of household trash from a customer? (My transfer station charges $75 per ton here in SW Oregon and I'm trying to see if this business is going to be cost-effective here) Thanks.
Great question, I will answer it here and possibly make a video on it soon. Most residential hauls are going to be right at 1 ton, give or take a couple hundred pounds. Thats what I have seen, very hard for a residential customer to go 2 tons or over, thats usually just construction debris and definitely shingles.

GPS signals are accurate to XX feet. Cloud cover, tree canopy, the steel of your box lid...all cause degradation of the signal, but not always uniformly. Accuracy will vary for no readily apparent reason from 10 feet, to 50 feet, to 13 feet, etc. When that happens, it may rethink where it thinks your trailer is in that radius...the relocation is what's causing it to tell you that your trailer is moving.
I was looking at Tracki last week, but didn't pull the trigger. Can you do another video and review in a couple months and let us know if you still like it?
You are correct, partly imo lol. So everytime I get notification that it is moving, I believe it is actually being loaded at that time. If they put a big load, it does rock the trailer. I am not 100% sure on this and you also might be right on this point. However, the GPS does use bluetooth when in range to "pinpoint" it's location when you are in range. So far so good imo. It's simple and does its job. But absolutely!
I am 100% sure that you are getting the notification from the trailer rocking a little bit when things are dumped into it, i just got my tracki and found it to be an extremely good thing. I don't mind getting the notification, im glad tracki is that good

You can see payment options when he logged into the Tracki website and selected a payment option. $19.95/monthly, $99.60/6 months, $167.40/12 months, $239.40/24 months. Of course, the cheaper "cost per month" requires prepay.

"Supposed to"? Says who? It's a planetary satellite network designed for tracking. Might be a bit of a problem if an eighth of an inch of material "broke" it.

Cant professional theifs just use a device that picks up the single.telling them car has a tracker...or even better a device blocker that prevents tracker from locating satelite..
They d have to be sophisticated to realize they can do that
