Logged in for the first time in a while and was wondering why I couldn't get my quantum drive to spool for a while. Thank you for the short and concise video. Now I need to figure out which keybind controls NAV mode... lol
This is great. Very concise, to the point, no extraneous information, just the needed details. I'm guessing you do some kind of education or training in your career outside these videos.
Heh, actually yes, I'm a Software Developer who's been working a long time so I train other developers in my company as needed. They don't like extraneous stuff when learning because we're all so busy all the time. "Just the facts, ma'am." Although that means my videos are not as drawn out and fancy as others.
@@Sneemaster Man, for what you are doing, this is perfect. It covers exactly the needed information, and it is appreciated. Let others do the fluffy stuff.
and in the fact that it didnt start with yo yo yo guys whats up its ya boy *insert name here* subscribe and lets get to it ( ten min interduction for 2 min info ) i like it
Are you in NAV mode and is the quantum drive spooled up? If so, then holding the left mouse or fire button should active quantum travel. The only time it wouldn't is if you accidentally powered off your quantum drive, or the quantum drive is damaged, or you are in a ship without quantum drive (like the MPUV or other snub ships).
You mention how you can set waypoints for vehicles and on foot, does that mean that i can be at a random point on hurston and set a path to the nearest outpost?
Only sort of. Right now on the ground, on foot or driving, the waypoints work within buildings and in certain cities like Orison or A18, but once you go outside, the waypoints don't lock on without sitting in a ship. You can still click on the POIs and orient the map manually to show your way but the Routing just doesn't work outside on the ground yet. I'm hoping they fix for a future patch but right now no routing outside of buildings or certain cities. We don't even have compass locations in wheeled vehicles yet either, only hover vehicles. Now, there is a gps-like location number on the starmap to tell you where you are but it doesn't help much yet. In the future CIG will be adding outside ground waypoint routing, I just don't know when.
@@Sneemaster Some of that may come with various visor / lens stuff like the combat HUD visor and smart reticle and such, as well. Or be "gated" behind those items. We'll see.
It actually feels more natural to fly with MM now that I'm used to it. It's very smooth changing between the different modes and the keys in the modes make sense. The restriction in combat speed will make combat for big ships more useful I think which will encourage multicrew work.
Great before it took me 20 minutes to reach a bounty now it takes just over an hour so bounties may aswell been removed as now in like 5 hours I could maybe make 50-100k that’s a joke

I'm happy it helped!
FINALLY a short, concise and understandable tutorial. Thank you.
PS I would add the key buttons' icons in the editing.
Thanks! And good idea. I'll try that in the next videos. Thanks for the idea! I mostly focus on short, precise videos, so I hope they help.
Perfect video dude, been a while since I've played and got very confused when I got in my ship.
Glad to help!

AGV = Always Great Vids! o7
Thanks!
cant get the quantum drive to power on. i have tried everything i can think of
Have you tried resetting your default keys? Also, what ship(s) are you trying it on?
I can not Quantum Travel. The game says instead "Warning Shields Critical". What do i wrong?

Thank you brother! I have upload my problem on TH-cam now.

hope the nav computer gets even better... would love to be able to add just waypoints via coordinates...
That would be amazing if they do that.
I know it’s around the corner, but how have you felt about MM? I liked it in Arena commander and am excited to use it in the verse.

Going to be spending a lot of time charging shields in larger ships this way.
Yup, definitely give yourself enough time to charge up your shields before going into dangerous territory in 3.23.
I fly decoupled. This new flight system is so janky I'm thinking of selling my account.
I don't fly decoupled much, how does the flight system affect it when flying like that?
