Hi! I'm a Minecraft player with a huge interest in archaeology, I have a server in which I buildt many ancient structures, The Pyramids, The Temple of Hatshepsut, KV62, Babylon with the Ishtar Gate, The Hanging Gardens, The Lighthouse of Alexandria and the full island of Rapa Nui, with plans of constructing Rhodes, Halicarnassus, Luxor, Persepolis, Susa, Tenochtitlan, Jerusalem, Mecca, Machu Picchu, Petra, Tombuktu, Ur and many more! Your channel fits perfectly with what I was looking for, amazing job! You've got a new fan! :)
Dang that's awesome! That's cool you are doing them on a server like that! Sounds like you have done quite a bit and plan to do a bunch of really cool and ambitious builds in the future! That is really exciting.
@@Dragons_Clutch Honestly, I would say just keep putting out good quality content that you enjoy watching and making and it will come. It took me one year to get to 250 subs, sometimes things start slow. I think it is more important that you are enjoying what you do. That is more sustainable imho.
For sure, I definitely agree! I'm mostly just joking! Fortunately, this isn't my first foray into internet content, and I've learned that lesson! I really appreciate your compliments, too! I'm extremely glad my story is being enjoyed!
I have to admit I've only watched a couple videos of yours so far, (my own fault, my attention span could use some improvement lol) but the moment one of your vids popped up on my recommendations I knew I had to subscribe! I've always been fascinated with history, and more recently ancient history; I have played Minecraft since 2012 and I've always had tons of fun with it (especially with all the great mods and modpacks that have been made over the years) so seeing these two things so wonderfully intertwined in your content is truly refreshing, entertaining, and educational, all at the same time! Cheers to 1000 subs (2000 now ;)) and wishing all the best for you!!!
Hey Haraldr, what is your favorite experience while in the field of archeology? Ex. Unearthing sarcophagus, exploring tombs, finding tools, jewelry, and weapons.
I think it was walking the and surveying the back country of Achill Island looking for lost souterrians we knew were there but their locations not documented. It was a good time with the international crew I was with and first time I ever experienced walking out onto quaking bog.
Thanks! It's been fun seeing the videos shared out to a wider audience...that algorithm is a mystery :) I appreciate all of your support and engagement!
So glad you like it! Looking back on it, the 1.6.4 world is of its time. Not a lot of block types as today, different building style, etc. Glad it brought back some good memories for you!
HH! The one I look most forward to seeing in my subscriptions. I wanted to know what your work entailed as an archaeologist. In my uneducated mind, it involves a lot of deciphering old languages, dusting off artifacts, and talking to locals who have word-of-mouth history. I'm assuming that's pretty inaccurate. Love to learn about what you have to say, and the builds are pretty easy to follow for implementing into my own worlds. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! So glad to hear you are enjoying the channel so much! Really what my work mostly entailed was walking fields or doing shovel tests most of the time, so basically doing surface surveys looking for any culturally significant sites. We would put on many miles every day. There were also times where we did have to excavate but then it was mostly digging out features and trying to document stuff as accurately as possible while digging as quickly as possible because all the digs I was a part of we only have very limited time to get our work done.
Hi again! :D Just wanted to ask if there was a better place to ask for small peices of advice (like a discord or something), or if you'd rather I just ask in the comments on your videos?
What a cool trip down memory lane. Your builds really have come a long way since your humble beginnings. Congrats on over 2.5k subs now!
Thanks a bunch! I appreciate it!

This first part of this video makes me nostalgic for my own minecraft worlds back in the day. Great video thus far!
