Awesome video! I have two questions to ask if you would like to answer them, one is could you do an ethnography for the Nether? And two is if you could bring a real paleontologist to excavate the fossils within Minecraft?
Thanks! Both good ideas! I think it would be fun to do an Ethnography of the Nether. I would love to bring a paleontologist on and talk about fossils but I don't know any :). If I ever find someone interested I would love to do it.
WoW! Great idea! It reminds me stories from my childhood about explorers like "Atlantis: The Lost Empire" or "Once Upon a Time... The Explorers". Those stories had such great vibe of exploring and adventure. I love that vibe of XIX century science journey where an explorer had to be a historian, archaeologist, diplomat, biologist, and ethnologist at onec. In case of endermen opinions are divided, some Minecraft-theorists see them as one of Minecraft intelligent creatures other consider them rather as monsters together with zombes, skeletons and creepers. There are also opinions that they are regressed offspring of ancient builders. I wonder what new knowledge will give us your expedition, obviously if you will survive. I hope some Minecraft developers will watch that series because lore-hints and lore-cohesion aren't the strongest point of Minecraft.
This is really cool! I love that the whole journey of discovery is being shown here. I've had kind of an obsession with Minecraft lore, and enderman lore/culture in particular, pretty much since endermen first appeared in the Overworld. I'm eager to see what conclusions that professionals will come to about them!
100% So, funny story. I was using a datapack that did that and thought I had it enabled but didn't double check and it ends up it was in an older version. I chucked the pumpkin on the the first time and only then realized my issue. I didn't want to make Daskalos wait for me to fix it so I just rolled with it and did the rest of all the video from ReplayMod :).
@@Haraldr_Halfdan I noticed the camera was moving a bit oddly, but I assumed it was the cinematic camera toggle in vanilla. I didn't know you could put the Replay mod camera that close
@@accuratejaney8140 Yep, if you hit b then you can select a player to have the camera view from and it follows from the original 1st person perspective. It does look slightly different than native footage I agree.
Nice! I know it is a bit different but I am glad you enjoyed it anyway! We thought it would be kind of fun to show what an ethnography could be like on a Minecraft thing instead of just talk about it.
I love the 100% realistic experience of receiving a grant
Yeah, this was a fun collaboration with Daskalos and Oda did a great job as the director as well as Impala as his receptionist.
This was awesome! I'd love to see an ethnography series on Villagers as well :)
Thanks for the idea! That would be cool. I am glad that you liked the episode!
that receptionist....
Yep! Impala did an awesome job!
He really needs a fidget spinner 😂
@@ratlinggull2223 100%. He's great.

Daskalos brought me here and i'm so excited to see more minecraft archaeology!
That's great to hear!! Welcome to the channel! I hope you end up liking the videos and appreciate the engagement!

Yeah, that would be cool if they did. Glad you are liking the mini-series so far!

In for a penny...
I absolutely love this, it's super fun! Can't wait for the moment when you realize you can't get home without killing the dragon...
Oh, crap!!! your right! ..... day 125 .... writing this from the end ..... ;)
Daskalos has died in the Restoring an Ancient City video, so they could take a plunge into the void and save stuff via ender chesrs
@@Booksforthewin NIce!
If you get a texture pack that removes the carved pumpkin overlay, you won't have to stay in F1 the whole time.

y’all did an awesome job here absolutely love the concept!
Thanks! You were the best receptionist ever! ;) I appreciate you helping with the video, your the best!
Wasn't expecting this to be a kind of a roleplay
But I like it!

Lmao was not expecting a skit
Yeah, that was fun to put together with Daskalos as we go on the adventure to the end and show what an ethnography is.
