Weird West more than lives up to its name in all the right ways. Playing through its five stories and reaching their collective conclusion produces a wagonload of bizarre encounters, twists, and reveals, and its stealth and chaotic combat are challenging but come with the built-in safety nets of unlimited slow-motion and an old-school quickload system. It comes with its fair share of limitations, managing a lot of mostly dull loot, and typical bugs, but exploring these wide-open spaces feels like striking gold a lot more often than not.

It should be mentioned that this game was Directed by the founder of Arkane Studios, Raphael Colantonio, who also founded this studio that made Weird West. So if you're a fan of 2017's Prey, the first Dishonored, and Arx Fatalis, you'll most likely love this game.

One of the best things is the overall dark tone and asthetic in the game, love that
"Dark fantasy" western is such a cool mix. So much potential.

@@handemorebattlelands4009 A tone is not only made by graphics. And this is cell shading, who can be great in dark tones as well.
Just look at Dishonored. It have some of cartoonish figures in character design. Does that mean Dishonored isn't dark toned ?

Not really, but this one comes from the same guys that brought us Dishonored and the latest Prey entry, so yeah, I'm really hyped about it

Nope, we've been doing them here and there since the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro came out - and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands was in 4K last week! But we pick our battles since they're a bit of a heavier lift when it comes to rendering time.

Wasteland is a turn based strategy rpg and this is a twin stick shooter lol

I'm playing it with game pass and it's an awesome game. Such a dark, mysterious, magical, yet grounded in Western reality sort of game. My only gripe is that it isn't on the switch, this game needs to come to switch, it would be the perfect game for it!

If you like this you should try disco elysium, lot less combat tho

Yeah, game gives some hardcore ascent vibes with a little desperado and Road to Eden.
Gives me Wasteland + Disco Elysium + Despardos vives.

This reminds me of Hard West for the Nintendo Switch. It has nearly the identical art style and tone but different gameplay mechanics.

This looks to draw a lot of influence from the great Weird West comic series The Sixth Gun.
Now he have nearly 30 seconds of advertising just before the video starts. TH-cam starts to get really annoying.

Both words can be used but chomping is more popular.
Perk/abilility system was clearly pulled from deathloop. The UI art style isn't even different...
