Immersive Sim huh, _what a shame, it was a good genre. What a rotten way to be forgotten_ Any immersive sim games are rare, it's definitely worth trying!
Even though CP77 is a open-world cyberpunk RPG, it has some elements of immersive sim games - like "Deus Ex" level design, having multiple ways how to tackle a quest/level/location, choosing your own playstyle, playing the whole game either as a gun-blazing maniac, as a melee character that kills everyone with a katana, as a hacker, as a stealth character or like a "ghost", even stealthily tacking down bosses, using environment to your advantage, etc.. and all this in a open-world game.. but I can't in any way a see huge AAA immersive game to be ever released - like just the time and money and work that goes for example to the facial and body animations and voice work and so on and if you want a game where you can kill even story important characters, I can't see any developer to throw money into such a project.. only if it would be hub-based and a little amount of characters? Maybe.. but still, immersive sim games aren't blockbusters and having huge numbers when it comes to sales - like we have seen it in the case of Dishonored 2, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Prey and so on - and aren't just appealing to the standard videogame customer.. even Arkane's Deathloop success last year was not because it was a really deep immersive sim game, on the contrary - it is probably the most shallow Arkane game released to this day and it was basically a FPS with some interesting ideas and mechanics .. but Prey's DLC - Mooncrash - is a more deep, a more complex and a more interesting take on that basically same concept as Deathloop.. and as I said, CP77 is more an RPG than any other genre but I still have a high praise for that game to have such a complex level design in a open-world game and that I could finish the 100-hour game without killing anyone or going into combat (apart from story flashbacks) is something really mindblowing for me But I think only indie or at best the AA genre is going to be home for the next immersive sim games in the future

I just find my self wishing on a different view for combat. The isometric view point isnt bad, I just wanted it to all be in my face a bit more;. Great game.
I really love how you didn’t see as much value in shotguns or didn’t play stealthily thru the wild respawning during quick loads because i totally did. i used shotguns quite a bit in close quarters fights and would reload multiple saves to nail the perfect stealth run. This game just does this stuff mostly well enough that it appeals differently based o your tastes. Good stuff.
I played a bit of it through game pass, and the camera really puzzles me, as this could easily be just a first or third person game. Otherwise, to justify this zoomed out style, it would be better to just have the cursor visible at all times to interact with the world (since I find it hard to interact with specific objects close to each other) or target enemies, and rotate the camera by pressing the middle mouse button or something.
seems like Prey (not just because of the devs) in that most critics will focus too much on the mundane issues (there are already lots of reviews bitching about the shooting and loot) and totally overlook the elegance of its design and how far ahead it is of the vast majority of games these days - it actually has dynamic game systems that reward creative/emergent play and isn't willing to settle for basic scripting or copying industry trends. Raph Colantonio is probably the most under appreciated designer of the past 20 years.
I'm totally looking forward to this game, I'm gonna wait a few weeks and let them optimize it a bit more before playing it though. It's awesome to see you review this though, I was expecting this to be off your radar for some reason.
One thing I do look for in rpg's that tell you if you have freedom to do what you want is the ability to kill any NPC . Very few games have this but the ones that do are great such as new vegas .
This looks pretty damn amazing. I really wish we got more proper immersive sim games. Imagine an FPS or 3rd game set in the world of Weird West. I honestly think it could rival borderlands, because Weird West type of game has more interesting replayability with choices and consequences.
I’ve been playing the absolute heck outta this on my Xbox thanks to GamePass and it’s been surprisingly addictive to say the least. My only minor gripe is that there’s not any aim assist option since I admittedly am having trouble lining up shots on more mobile enemies due to not being as adept with the right thumbstick as I would likely be with a mouse, but otherwise this is definitely a sleeper hit that a whole lotta folks will undoubtedly miss due to it being somewhat niche.
Picked this up for free off PS plus, played it, loved it, then Steam had it on sale for 10 bones, picked it up there, as my PC is hooked up to a projector, and damn, that changed everything, the view and camera, almost seems made for a big ass screen!
A lot of the Interactions remind me of Divinity 2. It would be interesting to see a game like this but in the medieval setting, or even a steampunk / Cyberpunk style.
my problems are its 2022 and still no camera rotation speed adjustment option even on my 60 in tv, the text is small if not tiny with no way to adjust and even with some ps360 graphics, still runs kinda chuggy didnt get far enough to find anything good about it yet got annoyed and bored and havent played since, ill try again later maybe

It came out on ps4 on the 31st of March. I'm definitely gonna check it out. Thanks for the heads up mate...
I just installed it on my Series X after watching this. So far it’s amazing! Bouncing back and forth between this and Wonderlands
Am I crazy? This is an April fools joke right? If it is, the /s is laid on thiiick.
Cheers g, I enjoy the content :)
Actually looking to play just, just waiting til I have money, and man this review definitely made me happy with my decision to purchase the game.
My husband and i love this game is crazy how nobody talks about it. Even my roommate likes the game now
I’ve been playing the absolute heck outta this on my Xbox thanks to GamePass and it’s been surprisingly addictive to say the least.
Bro, I gotta play this, thank you for showing us this awesome game.
I swear, every year I find a new game I’m gonna sink 80+ hours into because of gman
Picked this up for free off PS plus, played it, loved it, then Steam had it on sale for 10 bones, picked it up there, as my PC is hooked up to a projector, and damn, that changed everything, the view and camera, almost seems made for a big ass screen!
You can pay for games with bones on Steam? FML.
I just bought this game just now. ACG & Gman have sold me on it.
Been looking forward to this. It looks pretty great
Bro I'm working on it you don't have to attack me like this
A lot of the Interactions remind me of Divinity 2. It would be interesting to see a game like this but in the medieval setting, or even a steampunk / Cyberpunk style.
great vid, game looks amazing, definitely gonna pick this one up
Thanks Gman always love your vids. ALWAYS. I will grab this one ol mate thanks.
It's so GOOD! I can't put it down when I start.
I'm playing after hearing about from this channel and I'm not disappointed.
This looks like the weird west version of the darkest dungeon
YES YES YES thank you for reviewing this dude!
Great video as always 👍
bro is speed running yt vids
my problems are its 2022 and still no camera rotation speed adjustment option
even on my 60 in tv, the text is small if not tiny with no way to adjust
and even with some ps360 graphics, still runs kinda chuggy
didnt get far enough to find anything good about it yet
got annoyed and bored and havent played since, ill try again later maybe
I feel like this game wouldve been so much better if it were a cover based third person game
I like when gman brings hidden gems to light
