@@daltonrich7658 why are you trying to start it with the fob? It's only for performing the button functions like locking/unlocking, opening your trunk and setting the alarm off. Remote starts are completely different

The buttons on the remote will work when the *remote* is paired to the car, but the key will not start the car because it does not emit some sort of electronic signal like the original key does. It fits in the ignition and even turns it to the START position (past ACC), but does not start my car.
Hai mate their is is small chip inside your previous key in the corner side its like a small black rectangle piece you need to take that chip and put it in your new key im the exact slot other wise car not start

After going through the needlessly painful process of replacing the battery in my daughter's Mazda 6i remote, it would not work even though the light on the fob lit up when a button was pressed confirming proper installation of the battery. When I called the dealership and by the time they were done screwing me it would've been over $300.00 I read you could buy online and program but instructions weren't so clear so thank you for clearing it up for me.

I'll be honest. I thought this was taking the mickey out of me. I did it. Worked perfectly haha 😂 If you don't have the lock button on your door just flick the driver's door switch as instructed.
this is only for the car doors, this is NOT the immobilizer that allows the key to start the engine(Transponder Programming)... Apparently this(Transponder Programming) is ONLY able to be achieved if you have TWO original Factory Keys that came with car. Otherwise a Locksmiths scanning/reprogramming tool and services will be required. (Anyone with otherwise expert knowledge feel free to correct me but this is what Ive been able to ascertain).
Yes it works great to program fob but if you're not using the stock key then your car could possibly be put in the immobilization mode and you have to take it to the dealership should put this is your video

I have a 3008 Mazda 6 and tried this and still does not work. I replaced the battery before so the battery to the fob is brand new. The locks cycle through but fob does not work but the light on the fob still lights up. Not sure what an additional troubleshooting step might be. Thanks!

I called Mazda the other day and asked them how to program the fob because the video wasn't working the locks would lock but the key fob would not program and they told me I had to have two key fobs for it to work so do you have two key fobs ???

I have 2006 mazdaspeed 6. Bought it by private seller and he didn't have any smart key, so I just have physical key to start ignition. Some pages say to activate smart key like this, I have to have 2 or more keys but it seems you didn't use any of these. Can anybody be in same situation and if tried, could you make it? Unlocking the door directly every time is pretty inconvenient I need help...
My mazda 6 i grand touring 09 won't let me turn the key cause it can't and I have to press the break once to let it get to the on position but once I turn it off with the button I have to press the break then I can use the button again. I just replaced my battery and my key isn't letting me push to start and this didn't fix it.

It works. If you have 2 keys you need to press unlock on both instead of any key during that step.

My system alarm goes off randomly sometimes will this help reprogram it because my key light indicator keeps flashing in my car as well.
