@marikay-This run happened way before the luge accident. Also, as you can see, you can't achieve the same speeds on skis as you can on a luge, lack of inertial weight and wind resistance on the body slows you down.
@Rosalampan Well, it was 0300h and the track was not lit at first (completely dark!) and we would have most likely seen people when we walked up. So hurting someone else but ourselves was highly unlikely.

went in from Women's start. Already skied for about 30sec in the dark till light came on (start of this video). Too be fair, you don't need to be the best skier to do it, you just have to ride out the walls and don't edge. I don't think we had more than 70kph max. But to all the fucktards who just left negative comments: if you are all way better skiers, why didn't you put a video up! Actually, I'm surprised that nobody else had the idea to ski it.
they would just paint it on and re do the surface for the olympics, it's not going to be just for the olympics so they would remove the logo afterwards and have it as a normal venue

4. There is no medical staff around at night to help you if things go wrong. 5. We now know that it is possible to die on this track, even if you aren't going the same speed as Nodar. I hope this doesn't encourage other people to try this or do something similar, eventually someone will get hurt. P.S. The track is closed for the season, we turned off the refrigeration, the ice is melting and almost gone, we have put in barricades at the end of each corner to prevent anyone from sliding down.
I just compared your speed to my luge video from novice, I'd say that you guys were going around 70-80kph, if not 90kph. On skis, thats pretty damn impressive! Too bad you didn't make it across the finish line though. And I would've loved to see your time if you did.

The reason why everyone is mad at these guys is that they might have hurt someone who worked there, and i agree. As long as you could know for sure the track would be empty this would be really funny, but you cant.

i went quite a ways up this summer drunk after COC and took my skate down pretty sketchy though they had fences put across it we had to move
